    1. Be prepared for a loooong line since one of the beers being released is a Milkshake beer.
    2. Bring lots of money since the two beers being released are $20/24 a 4-pack.
    3. Bring your favorite chair (maybe like below?)

    Cheers!

Thinking this will be a crazy-long line, in sub-freezing temperatures. The last time this happened I almost got frostbite. Gonna go with long undies and thermal socks this time around.

I'm assuming the answer is no, but based on past releases, is there any chance anything lasts until Saturday? Also, will they have the Milkshake on tap at the Fermentaria? Or is this a can-only thing?

In the past they usually put a keg of the milkshake on tap at the ferm or cafe at 4 or 5. Almost always no growler fills allowed

Yea, I doubt either make it beyond 8pm. If they do tap it, they'll shoot out a post on Instagram at some point tomorrow probably in the afternoon if they are.. probably in the same post with the allotments.

Is getting there around 4:30-5:00 risking missing out?

These can won't make it to the next day (IMHO), but I wouldn't be surprised to see them tap a few kegs of the Milkshake at Ferm. If they do have kegs you probably can get a growler fill on Saturday.

I used to make it there at 5ish and was fine every time. The only time I can think of recently where folks got shutout was the 3 can collab, and the Monkish lager cans went very quick. In fact, a friend was there a little before 4 and was shutout of them. Nevertheless, 4:30-5 you should be fine IMO.
You won't reach the register until 6:30 though.

I though the last two or three did get growler fills...or am I thinking of just shakes that weren't canned?

For the milkshake - I personally don't think so although the line will be very long. Pineapple milkshake had ~600 allotments, strawberry was ~500, and double peach was ~800.

    No beer is worth frostbite.

Wow, so that picture of hamburger helper they posted earlier this week is actually passionfruit? No wonder their fruit beers haven't been turning out well...

Yes but it is a small risk and you'd still have a very good chance of getting cans. The wait will probably be long though. I have bought plenty of milkshakes and never got in line for them before 5:30 but it is hard to predict without knowing the allotment.

Now if you've got the time to drop off a chair at noon and then swing back around 4:30-4:45 to sit in that chair...

That's what a passionfruit looks like tho. You ever slice one open?

Thanks guys! I'll be in town on Saturday and am at least hoping to catch some of the Milkshake on tap. Never had any of their Milkshake beers before, so very excited to try one!

I could be wrong, I thought the canned beer kegs usually didn't have growlers.
