Sorry if this has been covered.

Which place do I get growlers at? They open at 4 tomorrow? Is there a line at open on a normal day?

The website says they will swap out my growlers for their labeled growlers if I want. Does the style matter (swing or screw top)? Do they hassle you for doing that (I've never heard of a place doing this)?

    Thanks

both have different tap selection, both do growlers.
fermentaria opens at noon. café at 4
probably no line to get in.

64 oz growlers are screw tops, 32oz are swing tops. I'm not sure if there's a hassle for trying to trade screw top to swing.

Get growlers at both places, they have different beers on tap and are withing walking distance of each other. Fermentaria opens at noon, brew cafe at 4 (I think, you can check online). There will not he a line. In my experience, they will swap out any growler with no hassles, everyone I have dealt with there has been very nice.

Just a heads up, there's a can release tomorrow so fermentaria will be busier than usual.

I traded a very old, cheap non-labeled 32 oz growler for one of their very nice swing top 32 oz growlers, no hassle at all. I do wonder what they do with all those growlers?

The employees take them and get them filled up at other breweries who don't object to putting their beers in them?

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the help

Follow up: Has anyone traded them regular 32oz growlers for their 750s? Do they allow that?

    I don't think they have 750's just 32 and 64 oz

When I traded my 32 oz they did say I had the option of a 32 oz or 64 Oz of theirs.

Pretty smart really. Trade you a larger vessel = more ounces and a larger sale.

And a bigger price too! Smart business for the immediate sale and all subsequent business using that vessel.

    Cheers!

I often bring them Iron Hill 64oz growlers.. get the iron hill two pizza's and a growler deal every few months and never really go into IH to fill a growler so i'll bring them to TH and exchange... saves me $ on growlers.. but now i have a lot of Tired Hands growlers.. too many.. haha

I think they are actually 33.8 oz and 64 oz growlers.

Are they still having issues with exploding growlers?

Which makes a person wonder. What was the issue and how did they fix it? Do you have any insight here?

    Cheers!

I think someone said they were previously overfilling the growlers and now they are leaving more headspace when filling. I never had an issue, but it appears whatever they did worked
