In line at 4:45, beers in hand at 6:10. Pleasantly surprised. A decent amount left.

Is that the highest total yield they've ever had? 528 cases?

Wow, Light That Spills made it behind the bar! Would not have guessed that.

Yeah same. I am surprised it looked like they had more of the pathway when I left.

They had 470 allotments...that would mean 500+ would have to be in line to sell out.

Fug. I skipped Death Tripper and got a 4-pack of Pathway because Oblivex and Big Dream were so good. I'm eager to try Pathway and Light That Spills but I've decided that almost all Tired Hands cans improve over the first few days so I'll wait. The DIpA's change even faster than lower abv cans in my experience.

Pathway sounds like it should be similar to Oblivex since it's just got 1 less hop and hopefully if it has rough edges they are cleared up.

Who said that? It's getting good reviews on untapped for whatever that is worth.

Opened a Light That Spills tonight. Really nice, especially as it warmed a bit. Tight and minerally, with some of the funky/rotten fruit hop varietal.

A non-release question for the TH regs. Is the Ferm's burger and beer special only for HopHands or do they give you a choice of some different beers to choose from?

Yeah, that's the first time I've heard "rotten fruit" described as a positive attribute.

"Rotten fruit" is a flavor I've gotten from some of their other beers recently - the last I can recall is Fuzzier Yellow, made with peaches. It was pretty good but the back end was kinda rotten funk.

Some hops like Nelson are pretty "musty" when used in IPAs. It's a positive descriptor in that context. It's also the mineral flavors that bring it out, which works because it's a lower abv than most of their canned hops. It's good, try it and see if you notice what I'm talking about. Gotta let it warm up a bit.

I'm not a huge fan of Nelson Sauvin hops, but I've homebrewed with Azacca which I could see the description of maybe "overripe" fruit which sounds more appetizing than "rotten". I think there are definitely certain hop varieties that need to be used with restraint.

Did anyone hear about someone trying to get in line in front of the chairs at yesterday's release? Saw some stuff on Instagram, but curious if anyone had more info.
