And I was just making it clear that the HopHands I drank had diacetyl.

    Cheers!

They've got their tarps down in line already.

The notes for the original Grassman read:
"Honey Double IPA brewed with oats. Fermented atop lots of Pennsylvania wildflower honey. Hopped intensely with Citra and Nelson Sauvin."

So they've replaced Nelson with Motueka and Hallertau Blanc.

Unfortunately cans will either all sell out by tonight or tomorrow based on all the previous releases so far

You're the one who's crazy, expecting to just waltz into a brewery, a full few DAYS after they've released a new batch of beer, and expect to buy some!!! That's crazy talk! Seriously, I have hope for the future what with many Carton cans lasting weeks, Kane Head High probably soon doing the same, and few other local breweries having some cans days later.

With the increased capacity of tired hands coming in the near future the can situation should improve (hopefully)

Why would they make it easy to acquire cans? No one would want them anymore...

How have the previous batches of Grassman been? Tired Hands seems like they're trying to hype it up (no growlers, higher price, etc) but is this usually a particularly good TH IPA?

it's been quite some time since they had grassman on tap.. they also switched up the hop bill on it so nobody has an answer for you in how previous batches have been in so far as it being a different beer this time around. Sometimes they will put a keg or two of one of the "can" beers on tap at the ferm that same evening or sometimes the next day, but normally if it's something new they aren't going to put it on tap before the can release... at least from what i've seen develop as their methodology the past few months since they began canning

My best guess for the increased production would be so they could make more money. As has been posted many times they make a bunch of different beers to keep on tap for the in house customers and growler fills. So they are limited on the amount they are brewing for cans only, I don't think it is an exclusivity type of deal.

Don't forget, Philly craft beer market is HUGE! There is absolutely no way in the world they wouldn't sell out quickly any amount of cans they are able to make at maximum capability (if they're not close to that already) given the many stores and restaurants they can distribute to even if for some miraculous reason cans don't sell out at the brewery within a week.

You have to wonder why they didn't change the name given the changed hop bill. Or even called it some type of Grassman variant.

I think they would do something similar to what they did with Only Void.. keep the name the same but change the way the label looks. Same thing with what Tree House does.

This came up in the Grimm thread with regard to Force Field as well.
