Who needs a ticket system when you have a chair system?

Lets be honest... no you won't.. and if you do prepare yourself for a shit storm to ensue. Its really not worth getting that aggravated over to go out of you way and touch someone else property. Thats pathetic.

I don't know if you can get upset about someone touching your property if you leave it unattended on the sidewalk.

Hard to believe people wouldn't make a scene over it and point you to the person that did it.

In all honesty, I do agree that it is pretty shitty to drop off a chair and then leave the premises but I actually dont really care so long as those people are either inside ferm or taking shade across the street. I walked out of ferm at 6 and people were still getting full allotment. I admit, I ran in and grabbed a brew and enjoyed the 15 min reprise from the sun and no one around me seemed to care.

I think the chair problem was likely more problematic during anniversary but I really dont see how it affected anyone waiting in line before 6PM

This was my first Tired Hands can release and was pretty happy with how it turned out. Got there at 3pm (2 hour drive for me). Actually ended up walking out of there with a full case of the milkshake after getting back in line once it made it to the bar.

Met some interesting people. Never saw so much rare beer in one place in my life. This trading culture is kind of out of control.

I like the milkshake but don't really get the hype. I guess I'm just old school, but I want the hops in your face when I drink a beer. Not an orange creamsicle.

Would you guys prefer people drop in the Ferm for a brew and leave their chairs while they wait 3+ hours for beer? Or drink "discretely" from growlers/cans, as I saw LOTS of at the peach/blackberry release? I have no horse in this race (filthy New Jerseyan) - but one of those is illegal, FWIW. And before you say neither, please remember that it ain't happening. #whalezcrew

I'll take em off your hands :open_mouth:)

I don't believe any beer is worth waiting 3+ hours. I waited roughly 45 minutes..at 545, got a full allotment. This has been my experience every time I've attempted..sometimes waiting less than 20 minutes..I guess I sorta don't get the point of getting there that many hours early anyway...chairs or not..

You drove 2 hours to buy a $132 case of beer you're kind of "meh" about?

Haha! Fair enough. For what it's worth I love the Dystopian Forest, got to drink some good beers on draft in the Fermentaria and met a friend who lives in the area. Will also be reimbursed for some of the milkshake beers so I'll call the day a success. But you did put it in perspective for me.

I think InsuranceGuy is probably capturing what a lot of people feel the day after.

Seeing how long cans lasted yesterday, I am pretty sure I am done waiting in lines from now on. I could have stayed at work all day, sat in rush hour traffic and still made the full allotment plus the keg inside.

This is true. Also, I think the key was the low allotment for the milkshake which I thought worked out perfectly. And those willing to wait it out were still able to double their allotment.

Yeah they have been doing a pretty good job setting the allotments the last few releases. The only recent one I can remember that sold out by six was alien church but that had a case limit.

Sounds like a win to me. Plus, you can move the Milkshake pretty easily.

    Cheers!

Everyone actually standing in the line and not abandoning chairs for hours should just pass the chairs one by one to the back of the line. Your chair holds your spot...at the back of the line. Honestly no one bringing a damn placeholder chair is going to have the balls to say or do anything about it. The logic behind thinking a chair should hold your spot is not there. Imagine waiting in line at an airport and pulling out your chair placing it in line while you go have a shot and a beer at the bar.
