Yeah, I have had pretty good luck with Alien Church. As I recall it was only one batch that was 'off'.

Unfortunately my track record with HopHands is not quite as good; too many batches of HopHands with yucky diacetyl.:slight_frown:

    Cheers!

Can anyone give an idea of how long it takes to get through the line at certain points? Like I would say that if I was on the ferm side of the second lot it was like 45min? Says it's almost to Athens now, I haven't waited in line since they moved it around so i'm not sure where that is.

Probably a solid 45 minutes from Athens, maybe an hour at the beginning of crickets - hard to say based on density and how many people are with one chair....

I don't know why but it absolutely amazes me that the line is already at Athens. It shouldn't, but it does. The only brewery I know that you have to worry about getting cans if youre *only* two hours early.

it's not just that, I was asking because I can't wait around for another 2 hours after 5pm.

It's usually like 45mins from the middle of the large parking lot on cricket.

I'm gonna get there at 4 and hope for the best. I can't get out any earlier unfortunately.

Blueberry Pancake made it behind the bar and that was released with 5 out of 5. Do you think this one will bring more people than that?

Is the line back to the normal route (across the street and down cricket) or is it still cutting down
You should be fine at 4. You'll be there for a little bit, but you should be fine. I can't imagine near 700 folks in front of you before 4 on a *somewhat* surprise release.

That's what I was wondering.. I was expecting to show up a little before 5, I wouldn't think it will be much worse than that release, but I could be wrong.

    It's still the modified route.

I just got here and it's hard to gauge how long it is but it seems really long. It's back to cricket about 1/2 block back.

Because their pricing (and those willing to pay it) is affecting the local beer market. Without Tired Hands charging what they do, do you think other new breweries like Levante or Stable 12 would have the balls to charge $96 for a case of average quality beer?

The larger breweries have obviously taken notice as well, as seen with the Victory Tank-to-Table experiment.

    Had to skip this one.

The Extra Vanilla was wayyyy too much. I felt like I was drinking ice cream frosting. I just felt gross and guilty after just one glass.

The fact that they went and made the same thing but double sounds like straight up 'beetus in a can.

Just had a pour of the Double Vanilla and it's probably my favorite milkshake. But I'm not a "fruit in my beer" guy so this was made for me.

What are the final thoughts on Trapper Pie? There was a lot of talk about the release but I didn't see much on tasting notes/reviews. Thanks!

When I got my beer at 6:15ish there was plenty left. Double Vanilla was pretty great at the ferm. A bit green and hot still but so much creamy-vanilla flavor.

You were right behind me then, I had full allotment of both at 6:10. Still a line all the way down that alley to Athens when I left.

So just had one while I was cooking. The hops plus the apple plus the peppers all seemed to fight each other so it was just a bitter thick dipa. I was cooking with an orange though and I squeezed some juice and garnished that jawn like it was a blue moon. Tasted great.

The release today went pretty smooth, I was one of the few under the scaffolding on cricket Ave and one of the employees said I was around 185 or so in line. That was at 3pm.
Did the chair thing and went in and had rust and decay 2 finally, great beer. The ipas on right now were pretty good too but I was getting tired hands palate fatigue.
