They started "marking" people's hands during the Only Void release.
It's completely pointless as anyone who really wants to double dip could wash off the 1.5'' sharpie line.

I know it's cliche, but the whole bit about Al Capone going to jail for tax evasion, not the bootlegging. The government just cares about getting their cut.

Were you around the Philly area in 2010 when the PLCB had State Troopers raid bars and then beer distributors over what was mostly clerical paperwork errors? They are capable of heavy handed enforcement.

But I don't have any kids and know that cargo shorts went out of style....

I wasn't, but I think that targeting distributors and bars is vastly different than targeting individual sales.

The government was pissed they couldn't pin the Valentines Day Massacre on Capone, which is why they went with tax evasion. It would of been remarkable if he beat those charges seeing how Historians now realize AL Capone had an IQ slightly less than 80.

While I agree - my point was all you need is a Liquor Enforcement Officer with a hard-on to make an example, justify their job, etc. Or someone with an axe to grind to call in an "anonymous tip".

They did bust that guy re-selling the rare wine a couple years ago, even though he supposedly wasn't even selling for profit, just sourcing wines you couldn't buy in PA:

And they occasionally seize liquor and beer people purchase across state lines in Delaware, which is even lamer:
