I can't specifically comment on cans of Hop Hands but I have had numerous other hoppy Hop Hands beers with multiple weeks of age (e.g., up to 8 weeks 'old') and those beer drank nicely. I would not claim that an 8 week old can is equivalent to a 2 week old can but they were still very enjoyable to drink. I must strongly caveat that those beers were continuously stored cold (i.e., in my refrigerator).

    Cheers!

Thanks for the info! Yeah I kept a double vanilla shake once and drank really nice- almost even better at 6 weeks. Cheers!

I drank an Extra Vanilla Double Milkshake IPA that was canned on 11/30/17 earlier this evening and I greatly enjoyed drinking that beer. Even at 3+ months of age (continuously stored cold) this beer was very tasty. It has been my consistent experience that the Milkshake series of beers drink very well with age.

    Cheers!

Dammit, everyone knows you use Earl Grey in an IPA. Rookie mistake! Sad!

    Should be perfectly fine.

I'm also happy to report that I bought a 4-pack of HopHands a couple of weeks ago, and it was outstanding. What I remember the best of it being from back in the day.

Love the new feature of an updating page dedicated to can releases.

It looks like TH was open last year on Easter. I plan to be in the area that day, does anyone know whether to expect a can release that day? Not sure if they were doing Sunday releases this time last year or if the holiday would impact that.

I would not expect a can release on Easter. They do occasionally release on Sunday’s but it is not a regular thing.

My personal ratings for the Pink Moon series:
Which Will > From the Morning > Behind the Sun > Place to Be

Also stopped by the Cafe and was a big fan of both Headband and Organoleptic.

Eventually...........wonder when it will become actuality. I've thought this for some time now, they were producing AC so often why not just stock it at the store. Anyway, it's still one of my fav TH beers so I welcome this with open arms. Bring it on!

How's the tea DIPA tasting? Debating making the trek over after work but I've been so let down by this whole Pink Moon series so far.

I'm in the same boat, though a friend who went mentioned to me that it reminds of him of a citrusy Pineal, but better. Said it was a total sleeper beer, best of the series in his opinion.

Had dinner at the Ferm last night and got to try it on draft. My take? The best of the series.

After all of the contemplation and experimentation happening in this thread it made me decide to finally open my double peach milkshake from 11/2016. I knew the outcome before opening it, but it was still a shock to the system.

After sitting for 10 minutes it is crazy that the solids are literally suspended and not falling to the bottom of the glass.

I just gotta ask two questions:
    • Was this beer refrigerated for the last 15/16 months?
    • What was your motivation for 'aging' this beer for over a year?
    Cheers!

    I'll bite:

    1. Yes, this beer was cold stored the entirety of its life, in my own refrigerator.
    2. My initial/gut answer is because I'm an idiot. More extrapolation would be because I had heard how well the shakes do with time. Clearly, I should have tried it at the 3, 6, 9 month range but for some reason I kept choosing other beer instead. Lesson learned.
