Dang that sucks. And this was one of the lighter shake releases I’ve been to...the 3 4-pack allotment made it sell out more quickly than usual I guess.

For posterity purposes, I got in line with @thebeers around 4:15, had beer in hand around 6:30.

Wow, not that I saw. I’ve been in a lot of shake lines, and this was one of the longest lines and waits for me.

Got in line at 5, it was really really long. Got to the Ferm at 6:45ish, they had maybe 25 cases left of the shakes. It was a long, long wait.

I was on the good side of a mistake, asked for 3 and 3 of Shake/Green, when I got to the car and looked I actually got 4 shakes and 2 greens. I heard Sea of Green is really good, but how can I argue an extra shake 4pack.

Had a shake when I got home, it’s freaking delicious, one of the best of the recent releases.

That line was nothing compared to the Sunday lines. It didn’t leave Ardmore for one thing

It's my first shake, but one of the best beers I've had from Tired Hands. I was sort of expecting it to by overhyped. It's really, really good.

The Sea of Green has a slight nutty character that I don't remember from when I had it way back when. Still solid, but I think you did pretty good with the mix up.

Same exact times for me, maybe 5 minutes behind you. What was great about this release. Despite the 2 hours+ in line, is that both of these are ready to drink now. Last few releases have been green and needed to settle for a few days, these are both greatness right now.

Been in a bunch of Sunday lines too, it was still long. Longest lines I were ever in was this one and the Only Void of this year (Sunday). Both were almost 2 hours. What shake line on Sunday has been longer than 2 hours and you still get beer?

I tell you when I left at 7 the line was still half way down the No-Name street. No way they were getting shakes.

Can’t recall which shake it was, but the last Sunday shake release I went to had 900 allotments (2 4-pack limit). I got in line at 10am and the line had already reached Wynnwood. I got my beer around 1:30pm...that was worse.

But you’re right, this one wasn’t pleasant either, especially once it got cold!

I remember the 900 allotment one but also don’t remember which one it was since I didn’t get there that time. Double Vanilla maybe? So you have a valid point. With that many allotments though, if you time it right you can pretty much walk up towards the end with little to no wait I would think. 900 is a ton of allotments.

I know this has been going on for like two years now but it still just blows my mind that they sell 800 cases of beer in a little over 2 hours (I know there is still some infinite energy left but still), and at premium pricing no less (they broke $100k yesterday).

But that's only if the beer is a shake or some other rarity. The 900 case thing is not an every week occurance (not even close) on most weeks. There is no doubt that non shake-non rare beers have been drawing way less people lately.

Yeah was looking back at the past couple of this year and they definitely fluctuate in case amounts etc but with probably their peak production every third or fourth release at around 800 cases and even if that sells within a day it's still ridiculous and they aren't taking a hit on distro and also selling at $$$. Good on ya Jean.

Agreed, maybe he can afford some new automatic soap dispensers in the mens bathroom in the Ferm that will work correclty without having to wave your hands frantically for like 5 minutes until soap acutally comes out. They've been this way for months now.

I hear you. Needless to say that "5 minutes" is an exaggeration but there is quite a long delay before you get your spooge of soap.

    Cheers!

They usually work at the moment I give up and move my hand to the other dispenser.

It's still a little mind-boggling that even shakes still command that many people. Especially since most shakes these days are repeats. I'll take a Sea of Green over a Milkshake any day.

What is the trade value of Sea of Green vs. a 'shake beer?

    Cheers!

I would think Sea of Green, which has never been canned before would have a higher trade value than a repeat shake, but I could be wrong. I know it has a higher trade value to me.
