It will be a taproom. They have already been looking at spaces and have narrowed in on an area.

They actually blocked you for this? That's fairly pretentious.

Well, that means that more beer will be 'siphoned' from Ardmore.

I hope that your speculation that Jean is willing to invest in additional fermenters is indeed correct.

    Cheers!

It's a holiday weekend so I decide to cut out of work early and make the two hour round trip to get a couple growers at tired hands.

Go to the brew cafe, pay to park, and they don't have the beer I came for even though it says so on their website. Don't even have an IPA on tab. Oh well these things happen.

Go to the ferm, pay to park, walk in and they don't have the beer I want even though it clearly says its available on their website.

These guys take enough well deserved criticism, but for got sake at least update your taplists.

They make good ipa's, but between the ridiculous can releases, the insane growler prices, and now driving for two hours for beer they don't have cause no one can simply update the taplist on their own website. I'm pretty much done.

Someday when paying to stand in the closet with a man from the future isn't in style anymore, tired hands is going to wish they provided a little better customer service.

Sucks that you went all that way for nothing, maybe next time call ahead? Also for what it's worth, the website has yesterday's date on it.

Yeah they list the date the last updated the tap list on their website like pretty much every other bar or brewery that puts their tap list online does. What do you expect real time updates or maybe a live video stream of the tap list behind the bar?

Every bar should follow the model tria taproom uses, alway know what is on tap at all times. If you are not familiar http://tria.bevchek.com/menu.

To be fair, they don't update it often. Milkshake was up there days after it kicked. Calling before going anywhere far away to check if they have what you want is always a good idea though. I hope daleyke at least found some beers he liked (Pineapple Milkshake with peppers and cinnamon?)

literally about the same time this was posted, they made a CL listing looking for servers. i tend to go later, but with so many beers not made available in pints, yeah i guess drinkers there tend to require more check-ins. bartenders are great and as timely as possible. i usually sit right next to where they alternate filling growlers and tending bar, no problem with that.

thought this part was interesting because when i had a couple on wednesday night, i counted how many saisons they had on tap and it was like 7, or something crazy like that, and i remember thinking "well, that's odd." wasn't expecting sea of green to still be there, happy it was.

well, obviously someone has the job of updating the 3 instagram accounts they have with some regularity (marketing), and one of the posts generally tends to focus on what is on tap! which is what i would browse next time. they put a lot of effort into marketing their limited selections to drive people nuts, so yeah, put up a damn tap list. i like being surprised, but obviously some people don't. they really only have 2 house beers, though, so therein lies the 'issue'. no ipa (???) and having to drive around like a schmuck is def crazy. i know OH utilizes beermenus... Iron Hill is usually right. not sure about other examples.

I like how that one also has the availability %.

I prefer the layout of this one (which is also real time), but doesn't have the detailed information like the other one.

Looks like the Al's one is powered by something called Hopvision and the Tria one is BevChek. I don't know the cost of software like that but everyone should be using it. I assume it's tied into the POS system.

So, this may have been asked already, so sorry if thats the case... Are the guys at Tired Hands planning on brewing and canning the Milkshakes series again? Was hoping to trade for a variety sometime in July. Thanks for the info

Yes, count on milkshakes as TH knows they can sell all they make and at whatever price point they choose. Sometimes soon, these go to $25 a 4 pack. One thing I would suggest though is that you drink these IMMEDIATELY. I don't know if it is a function of age, but the peach and blackberry had a ridiculous amount of something that look likes "pulp" settle in the glass for the ones I had in my frig for three weeks or so.

That's weird I have heard a lot of people say that. I still have a few cans of the passion fruit and lychee from the release a while before that and that didn't happen.

Did it impact the flavor? Lots of unfiltered beers get visible sediment after time.

Lychee and passion fruit still taste wonderful. The strawberry has lost a bit but that was canned in February.

The only thing worse than the hype on tired hands is the negative hype. It's like a constant circle of complaints by the same people yet they keep going back. If I was mad about prices or lines or service I wouldn't go back.
