I still have a couple cans of these 4. Only the Peach/Blackberry batch had the pulp/snowglobe thing going on. Lychee/Passionfruit was a much much better batch, even comparing them to each other when they were fresh.

I agree that Lychee and Passionfruit taste wonderful but I don't think Peach/Blackberry are as good. Complaining about the prices is absurd though. I don't understand the mindset, if someone doesn't think it's worth the price then just don't buy it. There are beers that I think are overpriced and breweries I think aren't worth the prices they charge but I don't complain about them, I just don't go there anymore or spend time talking about them on this site.

I had the blackberry one on tap at the fermentaria and I agree the lychee and passion fruit batches were much better. The Pina colada one they had at the Brew Cafe the other week was fantastic too.

Are the milkshakes tough to get? I have a friend visiting in a couple months to CT and was hoping to trade some treehouse for them. I'd like a variety and always have the treehouse staples. Just wondering for next month. Thanks again!

They usually announce what cans will be released between 1-3 days before release and the releases are usually on Wednesday or Thursday at 5PM. Milkshake brings a lot of people but in the past the limits on purchases have allowed a lot of people to still get it. You have to know when the release will be and then if you want to be safe you can get there before 5 and line up but the past milkshake releases didn't sell out until about 6 or so.

I agree. This is VERY annoying. They usually have the Fermentaria tap list on IG and its very rare they have the brew cafe's. I would love to see a regularly updated list somewhere.

Was just at the brew cafe today - you're not missing anything, the taplist sucks right now.

I have a meeting scheduled for 4PM tomorrow. Not happy about it. Praying to God it isn't a milkshake.

Hmm, did they comment on the area? How far from Ardmore? Philly or suburbs?

I would think one of the cans for this week would be the other can pictured with Alien Baphomet when they were talking about being excited about the next can releases

I don't know about anyone else, but I would prefer they focus on consistency and quality control as opposed to opening a 3rd taproom.

I'd imagine that concern is in the rear view mirror as they sellout most can releases within a few hours. My guess is that they'll stay the current course unless something really goes array.

I know for starters that HopHands has become a no-go for me, when that used to be my go to. I've said it many times, but it's been off for a few months now. My wife ordered one Sunday at the Brew Cafe, and we both agreed it still is not the same.

I don't drink regular TH so I cannot say - but Thursday I had HopHands at the brewery for lunch and thought it was great, though SaisonHands was much nicer IMO. I filled a growler and drank it that evening - not good. What's up with that?

HH is by no means "bad", but it's not what it used to be. As some have pointed out, you often get a diacetyl taste. And I would agree that SH is currently better than HH.

What did you get a growler of that wasn't good?

Did it go flat? The TH growler fills don't seem to last long in my experience. You basically have to drink them within a few hours, but in your case it sounds like you did and it still didn't work out.

I think the Passion Fruit has actually gotten even better with time. Had one the other night and the hoppy bitterness had dropped off just a little bit, leaving what was, at least for my tastebuds, a perfectly balanced beer.

I also agree that the Peach and Blackberry weren't quite as good. But I felt that way from the start. The "snowglobe effect" is a bit visually off-putting, but I didn't really notice any weird flavors as a result and I really couldn't feel the particles in my mouth unless I let them all settle and had a huge amount of them in my final sip.

FWIW, I actually think the milkshakes hold up much better than the avg. Tired Hands beer. ALien Church for example after 2 weeks was a completely different beer (in a bad way).

Nope definitely not flat. I can't claim to know for sure what diacetyl tastes like - it just tasted old and stale. Malt-forward and not hoppy.

Still no word on cans this week? Probably a Thursday release then?

I think last week they announced right around this time.
