I'm predicting Sea of Green & American Youth.

had american youth on tap at Iron Abbey last year during PBW, and it was was probably the worst beer i have ever had.

i was thinking (hoping) that it's the can teased last week, and that it may be the Jolly Pumpkin with the ants

Edit: went back to that post, and they brewed it at Brew Cafe, so maybe not? if it came on tap, i'm sure people would have been talking about it

I'm off on a Wednesday for the first and probably the last time in my adult life so it would only figure they release on Thursday

Whatever the cans are they won't last unless its another round of that lager...

Surprised to hear that. I actually thought it was better than HopHands. It is supposedly just an even mixture of HopHands and Daisy Cutter, and I happen to think Daisy Cutter is better than HopHands.

If you look at that can artwork there appears to be a green colored sea in the background, which is why I was thinking it was Sea of Green.

I tried both Sea of Green and Alien Baphomet at a surprise visit to tired hands yesterday. Very different beers (although they look pretty similar). There is something funky about the hops/hop combination in sog that I find to be off putting - almost like a wild/brett/farmhouse influence. Baphomet was delicious and tasted strikingly similar to Alien Church - but that might have simply been the mosaic shining through. Veggie burger was better than the bean and cheese taos.

i love Daisy Cutter, and i knew what it was beforehand, so i was excited to try. tasted (and looked like) the bottom trub of a batch homebrew. just dirty. a lot of factors could have influenced that, but i wouldn't buy it again.

i don't know what to make out of that can. i edited my comment from before, ant beer was at brew cafe. hope it wasn't tapped . i liked sea of green, AB too, but i am very sensitive to the amount of salt i seem to taste in a lot of their beers. seems like the collaborations often are the 'safe' ones for me, which i know is the opposite from what most say.

That's what I loved about it. I didn't really get a farmhouse influence though. To me it tasted kind of like a juicier Weedeater.

So...either a late announcement or maybe a weekend release for the cafe birthday?

Hopefully not a joint anniversary/ can release.... No more double chair debates, and people trying to be in 2 lines at the same time.

Well the anniversary would be at the brew cafe but they sell cans out of the fermenteria so it shouldn't be an issue

If that is the case, there will absolutely be people with chairs in both lines.

People would be buying cans and then sprinting over to the brewcafe.

I'm betting on a Thursday release. Still holding out hope for Wednesday though since I planned to go. Not sure if I can do Thursday.

Who cares, it's just more of the same beer repackaged with ridiculous art. Bottles tho.

Are those bottles from the original release they did months ago or are those a new batch?
