The dates are a nice idea, but I fear it's going to lead to people being how surprised some of their beers turn.

"This thing is only a WEEK old???"

Local bar by me tapped a 2 day old keg of Hophands recently and man......once that beer warmed up a bit, it had a nasty, sharp bite to it. It was gross, to be honest. And I typically love Hophands.

The cans from the 4/6 run weren't quite as good as I have had in the past - a bit more bite and less fruity hop character. I wouldn't classify it as "gross", but it was not like I had previously had on tap or in cans.

I find the cans need a week or so for the "bite" to go away. Fresh off the line, I definitely get a sharp bite from it. Could be a product of force-carbing; the same thing happens when I force-carb homebrew.

No line. Looks like plenty of Helles left but not much HH.

3 pk per limit. Walked right up and purchased. Still a full Pallet of Helles sitting behind table. Inside is a little packed but i got a growler of tony vecchio. Good amount of bottles behind the bar. Im just standing having a beer before i make the trip back to the city.

$25 growler on the Vecchio. A lot of brewers in attendance.

My buddy stopped and got some HH cans, said it's the worst batch he's ever had of it.

Went for the very first time yesterday.. only had to wait as long as it took for them to check ID. I was surprised to find that everything was already refrigerated which had me in a panic of is it okay to store them at room temperature/cellar? I'm sure someone here saw my comments on insta. Anywho, glad I got some things to share with people who will never get a chance! How do people feel these beers compare to other releases of the same?

They recommend their beers be kept refrigerated, so I wouldn't recommend "cellaring" them or storing them at room temp. Anyway, it's a pale ale and helles lager - not the styles to really be cellared.

I didn't mean cellar as in the sense of for aging/waiting purposes, I meant as in, can i keep there for a few days to a week until I give it to someone else or transfer to fridge..

Ahh... I'd stick them in the fridge. That way these "delicate" beers will stay "crushable", or so says Jean.

What did he say was wrong with them? Infected?

I don't know what infected should taste like personally, but I had one last night, and I feel like I would know that it is, even without knowing what to look for? (Am I wrong in this) and I didn't see anything that wrong....then again, I have nothing to compare it to, only having hophands on tap.
