I used to have top 3 tired hands IPA until I let em go and forgot about em.. I can tell you for sure they are not what is being canned today.

I doubt they will release another emptiness series.. they are probably just inferringing to the culture they will use.

I'm not claiming it doesn't have a juicy hop quality to it, I'm just saying that it is more balanced between hop bitterness and juice than Punge/Weedeater, which makes it more in my wheelhouse.

Weedeater juicy? I definitely never got that from it. Grassy, piney and dank is the first thing that comes to mind. Sure, it has a bit of a citrus bite as well, but much more subtle. I would agree on Punge though.

Only had it once and not at the source, so I'll have to take your word for it until I catch it again someday.

I love Waze but it once took me through downtown Philly when I was going from Croyden to Ardmore. Actually took me around Penn Square. Was a nightmare.

Does anyone have any advice on parking at the Fermentaria assuming the lot is full for the can release?

There is a ton of metered street parking behind the Fermenteria on Cricket Terrace and Cricket Avenue. There is even a metered parking lot off of Cricket Avenue that is about two blocks away. I'd imagine today's release won't be jammed out, so parking should be easier to come by.

I've had every batch of AC to date and each at varying time from release/tap date. What I can tell you is that it's probably the most inconsistent beer I've had at TH. While each batch was good, the time at the Ferm that it came closest to the original batch, which I fell in love with the beer, was the 3rd canning on 3/4. For some reason, AC is difficult to nail down to its perfect form so if you haven't given it multiple tries at multiple times, give it a few more shots if you had a chance. I find the sweet spot for each release to be around 1-2 weeks after canning/tapping. Looking forward to see how this batch turns out.

As for can release demand for AC, remember last time when it was released with Punge and everyone thought that AC will last until the next day? 170 cases sold out in under 2 hours. FWIW, announcements of AC canning on Instagram get more "likes" than any most release announcements (yes, more than every Milkshake release announcement). This latest announcement was no exception. It's not an end-all indicator, but it certainly an indicator demand for AC. Personally, I hope the yield is huge and demand is low so that it will last for more than 1 day so more people can grab some tomorrow as well. It would be incredible on that day when people can just walk into TH and grab cans of AC without lines. But if you want AC this run, I wouldn't bet on it lasting until the next day, though hoping I'll be wrong.

Idk how it normally is, but last week was my first time. Not only did I park in a non metered spot (or at least I didn't pay) but I was able to get in and out in probably about 2 minutes. It was glorious

Quick question, my friend is visiting Philly and he said he would buy me some nice local beers. Does Tired Hands sell their beers in bottle shop? If not, is their brewery packed with people? I don't want him to line up for couple of beers(I would, though. He is macro drinker) so...

Right. I believe AC was the fastest selling release in many months. Sold out much faster than Milkshake (because of limits)

As for comparing the IPA's, I liked Pineal, Waiting For the Bloom, and Infinite Energy better than AC but AC is still good and I don't mean to trash on it.
you can only buy the bottles/cans at the brewery but some bars around the city probably will have Tired Hands beers on tap. In order to get you cans he might have to line up but the bottles of Ourison are readily available if you want to try those. A growler might be a good faster alternative too.

I've worked myself through enough beers and waded through enough opinions that I find using "better" is usually not the best word, especially comparing the various popular TH IPAs. Not only there are usually variations in batches as well as time since tapping/canning, but at this level of great beers being compared, it's a matter of preference. I simply prefer AC over other TH IPAs, but love many of them equally when they hit the mark based on previous batches. The first batch of canned Pineal was well below expectation. The last batch of Pineal was absolutely incredible...when super fresh. WftB unfortunately gave me strong prominent burnt rubber so I didn't like it very much. Infinite Energy was like the first canning of Pineal, significantly far short of expectation, not very flavorful and flat. If you liked the first batch of Infinite and they hit the mark next canning, you'll be absolutely blown away. I'd love to see them can The Light that Spills..., Pathway of Beauty, and especially Luminescent, possibly the best Nelson IPA I've had (yes, I used "best" in this case ). Whatever the case is, I think we're incredibly lucky to have so many great IPAs from TH to drink and to like/dislike.

No, their cans are not sold in bottle shops. Can releases are usually on Wednesdays, such as today. Cans usually sell out the same day, but will occasionally leak into the next day.

Very well said. I fight an internal battle every time I have a great beer and want to immediately "rank" it among other great beers I've had of that style. There is so much variation in tasting experience, whether it be TH brews or others, that it's really a fool's errand to come up with some personalized definitive ranking. If you drink two different beers a couple of dozen times and you come to the conclusion that one is regularly more appetizing then sure, that beer is the "better" beer in your opinion. But comparing a bunch of world class DIPAs that you've had a couple of times over a matter of days/months/years is worthless.

Right, I said "I liked these better" and I wasn't trying to make that some objective definitive ranking. I am looking forward to more Infinite Energy even more now if those cans were a lackluster batch, so thanks for that tip. I'm glad we have so many amazing IPAs to drink too and if I didn't like them I wouldn't keep coming back to the releases almost every week.

It's nice to share what we think of the beers in addition to all the non-taste discussion that goes on. It's cool to see how unanimously the last batch of Pineal was praised for example.

D'oh! Missed the "I liked" bit there and thinking got compounded from other comments about how there are "better" IPAs at TH. Apologies.

with IPA's it also is pertinent to remember your taste buds and hops don't always rub each other the same way.. palate fatigue is real. If you drink IPA's often and in large(ish) volumes you will burn your buds
