Business to whom? Is anyone really spending time before or after shopping Ardmore? Besides TH? No. And parking meters? Drop in the bucket.

    I guess we'll see.

I really don't think it is helping any of the local businesses. With people taking all the parking spots, it may actually hurt businesses. That area is a nightmare between 3 and 7, if you were looking to go to the store around there you wouldn't find anywhere to park.

Nah it's just something I was thinking about recently. Consistent beers with no weird ingredients. The Germans nail that - they even have a law for it! It's just tough to get em fresh.

Or and I mean I know it's crazy because their stuff is pretty common, head out to the Downingtown Victory. There are like 7 clean lagers going on right now. Not a superfan or anything but anytime I need a break from all of this madness I get a group together and head out there for giant pretzels and lager flights. Cleanses the palate of lines and milkshake. Haven't done that in a while actually, time to head out. They still have their java cask on too.

That is why the local breweries that produce high quality German style beers are a godsend: Stoudts, Victory, Sly Fox, Troegs,...

Tired Hands makes a very good Helles: Helles Other People.

    Cheers!

That pizza place next door was completely renovated when I went in last week, its seems like they're benefiting (I know I always go there, they have a great cheesesteak). Otherwise, I agree, I doubt many Tired Hands liners make a day of shopping in Ardmore.

I've gone with my wife and she shopped while I waited in line.

Oh, don't forget Frankford Hall or Brauhaus Schmitz for your German beer drinking.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree despite seeing people frequent other businesses on a regular basis during and after releases

I will second the recommendation for Brauhaus Schmitz but solely for the draft beer. They once brought me a bottle of German beer but I refused it when I read the date (it was 'past due').

    Cheers!

I live close and from what I have heard the town is OK as long as the line goes away from from Rittenhouse and stays on the far side of Cricket. If it goes that way no business are really affected. At one time the line went onto Rittenhouse and up to Lancaster and that caused some issues since you couldn't get into some of the business on those streets.

I will say if you are in the area and don't want to eat at TH Barbacoa, Jason's Toridasu and Golden Bowl are all very good. Also the new whole foods down the road and the ardmore beer shoppe also get some good beers.

I'll echo Jack - you just described most of the older PA craft breweries. But people seem to like chasing after the shiny new things instead.

If you aren't limiting yourself to German style beers, I'd also add Yards to his list. Quality, fresh, straight forward English style beers, and you can pick up a variety case for less than $40.
