That release was awful. Freezing rain and snow, I was sick for two weeks after hahah

 

Miserable release and Punge was a huge disappointment compared to the first canning, but Trendler Alt was delicious.

 

First release of Punge was amazing. It was cold that day, but thankfully no snow/freezing rain

 

How was the original release of Punge different than last years?

 

In my tasting experience Nelson hops can throw a wildly different variety of flavors. To me it is the most mercurial of the hops and I can see that contributing to peoples experiences. I only had the first batch of Punge which was a sterling example of when Nelson is on.

 

Yes, so stay away everyone! My recommendation is in no way related to my desire to stroll in and pick up a 4-pack around 9 PM, btw.

 

I don't think it'll be milkshake crazy, but I do expect it to be busier than it has been the past few weeks.

 

Do you guys think this release will last like the past few? Was hoping to pick some up tomorrow night

difficult to tell without seeing the allotments... Releasing along Alien Church means its the only 'one off' beer, so I imagine they will have a decent amount of it. Really depends on how many mules show up really.

 

Yes, I know it's all speculation at this point. Hoping it's a not case allotments but I imagine it will be.

 

It's still a bit of a crap shoot on Punge I feel (although I'm kinda leaning toward it lasting), but I've seen Alien Church last until the next day with less cases.

 

450 Allotments of Punge. I highly doubt anything close to allotments for most.

I totally agree with this. I'm not sure why it would be, but based on tasting different beers that utilize them I've often been puzzled. Some other hops do it as well, Mosaic for example can vary, but not in the same way.

What did these cost, by the way?

 

Punge was $20 a 4pk think AC is $18 or so... haven’t bought it in cans in a while.

 

How are they? Worth the trip if they make it until tomorrow?

 

I really enjoyed it, but this is the first time I had Punge, so I don't have a benchmark. Alien Church is always excellent, so there's also that.
