technically the guy who got the last AC was a line butter. I called him out on it but since his buddy was next I didn't press the issue. apparently these two bros were at their first TH release. what makes folks think you can just roll in and join your friends in line!?

 

I learned my lesson today. With a decent allotment available, show up at 5 or just after, stand in line for well under and hour and still get the allotment. I'll never show up at 3 or 3:30 again and stand in line for 2 1/2 hours to yield the same result. Lesson learned.

In line at 5, had beer in hand at 6 and on my way out the line was just at the end of the TH parking lot with maybe 50 people (or less) in it.

Anyway, cant' wait to try the Alien Church.

 

Here's what I have done and its great: get to ferm right around 5 eat inside and drink a beer in peace, kill some time, go outside get in line at 6 when its basically gone (with a few exceptions). Yesterday I was a sucker and lined up just cause I wanted to get home early, but I've never been shut out doing the above. Cheers all! Staying the heck away from OV day, good luck to all going.

 

That is a good plan. Although one I would be hesitant to do driving 2 hours each way. I usually try to get there at 5 or right before and just get in line and deal with the wait. It's not so bad though.

 

I want to take the wife on Sunday but she's pretty line adverse. She could do 30 minutes but an hour no way....

 

I'm kinda already mentally prepared to show up a little after 9... I would love not to but I'll be keeping an eye out on the instagram feed...

 

I wonder if the recent para 6 & 7 release is any kind of decent gauge to go off of in prep for this one...

BA threads are starting to become more about the preparation of obtaining the beer than actually commenting on the taste of it :/

I did go. Got there around 9ish and would say I was between 30-50 in line. Cashed out in 10 minutes and was able to make it home for the Eagles game at 1

 

I do have to say that I agree though, man beer became such work.

 

usually go to untapped now for reviews. BA is def about getting the brews than reviewing the brews

 

Untappd is mostly just ratings out of 5 and pictures in my experience. How do you find reviews there? I'm fairly new to the app and might be using it wrong.

 

That is basically it for Untappd - it is a quick review and can tell if people are enjoying the beers more than anything else. With the character limit - you won't see in depth reviews
