Tired Hands (October 2016)

Cant speak for TH growler fills now as I dont live in the area anymore. Almost 2 weeks ago at OH I got 2 growler filled and one I opened after a week, last Saturday. It was as good as the first growler. In fact one growler for from Tired hand other was from Tree house.

 

Those counter-pressure fillers are awesome at OH!

 

So odd...was just reading the OH thread and they were talking about TH, and now I'm on the TH thread and first post I see is about OH. wtf.

 

We're all just one big happy slightly disgruntled family.

 

Mago Tago update - it's lost more of the heat, but the flavors are actually mellowing out to a point where you can taste the heat more, if that makes sense. I think it's not gonna get better, the peak was probably around a week back. I hope they make it again and use better mangoes. Something has been off about mangoes in general recently - had several inedible ones recently.

 

Out-of-towner n00b question: Any chance of cans this Saturday? Are they doing two releases a week recently or mostly just Wednesdays?

 

Pretty sure the only cans that have ever lasted until the weekend are the Helles--which is ridiculous because it's an excellent beer--but in general they're either gone by the end of the night of the release or the following afternoon.

Most releases are Wednesday or Thursday; they only weekend releases I can think of are the anniversary party & only void day.

Should have bottles of Ourison & Shambolic, though.

 

^ Ah, OK. Think I confused the recent chatter about OV Day and the Anny Party for more typical releases. Thanks.

 

How many actual Thursday release have there been, anyone have the number?

 

You should post up a trade. There are plenty people local to tired hands with more than enough cans that would prolly love to trade for other out of distro hops or stouts

 

Sticky Drippy Crystals bottles are back for sale. That's a good beer and should probably still be available on the weekend.

 

Another release and no one talking about how the beer tastes!

Word on Instagram is that the High Road cans have very little carbonation...anyone here try one?

 

I skip High Road but when it was first canned I bought a pack and they had very little/no carbonation.

 

Looks like Red Wine Only Void is turning out to be a miserable failure. May have to drink mine tonight to confirm...

 

its the only OV not on tap at the Fermentaria.

I just drank a HopHands can, I agree that it doesn't taste like it used to. Its more bitter and less fruity. I still enjoyed it, but it doesn't taste far off from an ordinary grocery store pale ale/ipa.

 

Yeah I know. Really wish it would have been and the BA version in bottles.

 

What are people saying about it? Untappd comments don't sound too bad. Its an Emptiness beer so its no suprise that people are saying its sour.

 

Basically that its to sour, borderline infected. One guy said his infected BCBS from this year is better. LOL

 

Drinking Alien Church from last week right now. Might be the best it's ever been IMO, so damn good.

 

Anyone know if Coffee OV is still on at the Ferm? Trying to go down tomorrow for a few more growlers.
