Jean and I have something in common then I guess. If that's true, great for him for still being able to brew a world class stout. I guess he surrounded himself with the right people.

If he hates stouts, I would really like to taste what he could brew if he liked them. Also really like the seasonal IPA, definitely cinnamon and vanilla, very much like a rice pudding

If I ran down and eeeeked in before midnight any chance there would still be cans?

At 6:30 they had over a pallet of each.

Both cans are still available today.

It's interesting looking into the psychology of what is going to be a madhouse and what will be a chill release. The recipe of this Seasonal IPA seems pretty similar to Key Lime, but Key Lime had crazy lines. Is it because Seasonal seemed too savory? It seems like the stuff that is going to be very sweet is what makes the crazy line. Milkshakes, pie, imperial stouts...if it's low abv (with the exception of the HF collab) or if it seems savory it's going to be a relaxed release...

I'd say the key lime release was crazier because it's an old school café beer so it had more of a following than the seasonal.

So with two sorta slow weeks now anyone have predictions for next release?

You have to know what cans are being released to have any type of indication.

How about they release a new beer next week and they label it as "Prediction Pale Ale"!?!:astonished:

    Cheers!

I think the gimmick (I mean this in the least disparaging way possible and it applies to all beer not just TH) of attaching other food names to the beer brings in a lot more attention. It's fun to share a "Milkshake IPA" with someone because the words are instantly just so silly and usually fun. Key Lime Pie is the same way and it was a great beer. This seasonal one isn't exactly any food dish I know of but if it had a food name I think it would have done better. "Squash IPA" isn't nearly as fun as milkshake or pie though so it's hard to do.

Flavor-wise I think this seasonal is similar to Key Lime Pie because the spices/fruit does dominate and it's a super unique tasting beer (imo) but the hype for them is different. Desert flavors are probably another big factor, as some of you said already.

Hoping for two weeks so I can be there. Not dealing with the crowd on the day I can go may be a plus though.

Found out today a buddy landed me a 4 pack of Seasonal IPA! I guess it made it to today? I'm excited!

You geeks are like kids before Christmas. It's kind of funny and kind of sad at the same time.

Seasonal IPA (great name btw) reminds me of Key Lime Pie with different spices/aromatics going on. A pretty light body, with some sweet and some savory elements. The guy at the checkout said "ginger snap cookie" which works.
