That is the best news I have heard all day

 

I thought they lowered it for everyone. I remember the people at the front were really mad because they spent all that time waiting in two separate lines and had their allotments reduced... there was a lot of instagram hate that day. Honestly the beer wasn't that good and I am glad I didn't wait in that line....

 

The wine barrel and the Permashore believers'?

 

Anyone drink a Mago can recently? Curious as to how it's evolved now that we're almost two weeks out, and especially so given the initial reception to the Trillium/Monkish mango DIPA collab.

 

Cracked one yesterday. It was nowhere as bad when purchased. Harsh bitter afterburn is subsiding. I think another week will put it right in the sweet spot.

 

I'm drinking a Mago Tago now and the aftertaste has significantly decreased but it's still there.

 

Any thoughts on Milkshake Flavor?

 

Initial speculation is Guava.

 

I just cracked one. Nose is great, with big mango and citrus hops. Overly bitter finish is mostly receded. This beer is legit.

Halfway done with the can now. Way better than at the time of release. The hot finish is still there, maybe it's half or less of what it was. I hope you've tried it and don't just assume it sucks because a few people said so.

 

So I see that people have similar complaints about the recent Trillium/Monkish collab, which is also a mango IPA. Perhaps the current crop of mangoes being used is the culprit of the bitterness? I think someone suggested perhaps the mangoes weren't fully ripe.

 

I had my first on Saturday night and it is definitely something with the fruit. I think it's a great beer up front and on the nose but after half way through the can it got a little harsh and not from a hop bitterness.

 

I did, and believe it to be true. I think this was dismissed when I originally said it but I've experienced very bitter mango before. If this is it, it won't mellow out much.

 

Hoping something, anything (cans, bottles or draft) makes it to Monday afternoon next week as I'll hopefully be swinging by.

 

wouldn't be surprised if it's a thur release either. they usually post what the cans are by now and there's a holiday on wed.

 

The last handful of releases have had can announcements on Tuesday.
