I’m not surprised the guava shake has lasted as long as it has because I understand that the invasive series is pretty bad.

Still, they will do only void very soon, and it will sell out day of because (1) they only do it once a year (as opposed to every other week like shakes) and (2) people KNOW going in it’s a good beer.

I just wish we had a consistent schedule or the core offerings being released. Sure we get AC and Pineal a lot but they should really release single hop beers more regularly. Eviscerated for Citra, Technicolor Splendor for Simcoe, Extra Knuckle for Mosaic.

Hell, how has Wish Fulfillment not reached cans yet? Seems like it's consistently available on draft

Invasive 1 is pretty good. Solid beer. Can't speak to the other ones personally but heard 2 was pretty bad

Didn't have Invasive 2 but reviews aren't looking good. I don't know how you mess up a Citra IPA

Would like but won't got through hoops to get. Still have my cans from the Anniversary.

Plus I'll wait till Pizza Boy gets a keg or two of the variant and allows Crowler fills for $13.

I'm curious as to how the Invasive series affects the Shakes. I think the Shakes are on an island of their own. The Shake hype is all about what flavor it is and how people will perceive how good it is for the new iterations like Guava Lavender.

They were released together. On the same day. At the same time. Curious how you think sales are not affected.

Shakes drive the sales of the other beers when released together, not the other way around (assuming it's not an Only Void or something else really popular). Just because the Invasive series was touted as not that good, the sales of those beers had no effect (in my opinion) on the sales of shakes. Shakes sell no matter what is or is not released with them.

How long did Only Void take to sell out last year? Trying to gauge what time I should get there since I will probably be in the area.

Noon release, I'm thinking if I'm in line by 10:30-11, I should be good?

I was there last year and I actually sort of forget the timing. I think in line by 10:30 you will probably be good. I remember dropping chairs last year and we were pretty far back (almost to the church) but still got the allotments. Last year allotments were only 1 four pack for each of the 2 flavors and the Pumpkin Milkshake too, so 3 four packs total.

PS: The Mango Lavendar Shake is really, really good, super glad I picked some up. Lots of floral, mint and mango flavors that really work well togther. Home run on this one.

Yeah I'd like the new variants (sticky rise, chocolate lavendar, OV shake). Not looking to get full allotments of every thing but if I could leave with a few four packs, I'll be happy

I assume you mean the Guava Lavender Shake? And I agree.

Guava Lavender was great. Lavender was strong up front but as the glass warmed, the guava came in nicely. Good job on this one

I'm sure it'll last all day like all their other releases.

I know the Lavender / Chocolate combination is a "thing", but I just don't get it.

I tried some chocolate lavender cake before, and I was not a fan. It was like someone sprayed the cake with perfume.

OV sold out much more quickly than the releases surround it last year. I'd expect the same this year (ie don't expect this to last until the evening). Sad I won't be able to make it, but will try to trade for a few cans which doesn't seem so bad because then I can pick and choose between variants.

What's with all the lavender lately? That chocolate lavender OV sounds like an absolutely terrible combo. Rice pudding sounds great, however.

If I remember right, last year was Coffee Void, Berry Void and Pumpkin Shake. That was it. This year sounds like a lot more beers with 4 already listed and one suprise?
