Hey Philly BAs, I'm flying in tomorrow into Philly and will be in town for the day before heading to NJ. On top of my list to visit is Tired Hands, my question is do they do growler fills at the brewery? I've heard they do bottles as well but those seem to run out fast? Any help will be appericated!
Yes - they will do 1L and 2L fills of everything on the list. Growlers must either be TH branded, blank or a non-brewery (ie - whole foods) and cannot be clear glass. They seem to be doing this all the time now, but make sure they CO2 purge before filling. Bottles are typically released in small quantities and sell out day of. They should also have some nice glassware at the brewery if you're into that.
Not entirely related, but depending on how long you'll be in NJ you should definitely hit up Kane and/or Carton (if you have to choose between the 2 though go w/ Kane for sure!). Kane is only open Fri-Sat, whereas Carton is open Thurs-Sun.
Thought about that earlier but ill be at fair view lake up close to the Delaware water gap which isn't close to Kane. Plus that area is pretty rural.
