Tired Hands (September 2016)

Not at all. I prefer to use 3rd party apps to rate beer like Untappd. Im sure the majority of people like the accessibility of apps like RateBeer and Untappd and thats why they choose to use it over Beer Advocate.

 

How do you know?

 

There is tired hands art all over the window and it says what? why? On a mirror in the window.

 

We saw this too today. Imagery all over the place. Seems the logical explanation.

 

The shake on tap at the cafe was truly incredible. IMO only the double mango was better, and not by much.

 

They always had access to something over by that storefront maybe they just expanded. I always assumed it was just a storage area

 

that was the world headquarters.. haha.. office space was what that door went too I believe, this newer area will be for something different.. not sure what exactly but something

 

Also Clourison bottles will be available on Saturday... members got email but it doesn't seem like it's a real release, more they are just putting them on the shelf.. must have a lot but were concerned enough to let members reserve so if they did sell out before 2 weeks is up members aren't pissed they missed it. Ourison conditioned on clementines $22/750ml

 

I wonder how the Optometrist office feels about having "pagan art" and pentagrams plastered all over that window.

Also why doesn't Tired Hands list abv on all cans anymore? Is the Key Lime Pie IPA still 5.5%?

 

The optometrist has been gone for a while, so I am guessing they aren't all that concerned. I would imagine that posting abv on cans would have LCB implications and with the potential variations in abv based on different recipe changes, it would make it difficult to re-use labels if the abv changes by a certain allowed amount

 

Anyone know if the milkshake kicked at the brew cafe yesterday? Was thinking of running down for a growler.

I liked CitKLP but it wasn't as tart as a good key lime pie. The adjunct flavors were a bit light imo and the Hophands pale ale flavors were still prominent. Good beer that tastes more like beer than I expected.

 

Doesn't PA LCB require that bottles/cans state the abv?

 

That sounds good, do you mean available to the public on saturday or to believers? I'm over due for a trip up to TH

 

Do cans of bud/ miller have abv? I don't think they do.... but I could be wrong

 

Just checked some of the big abv dogfish beers I have and they didn't have abv on the label, so I am guessing it isn't a requirement....

 

FYI - As per their Instagram feed 4 minutes ago, the shake is still on tap at the cafe.
