That's the buzz in line. I'll risk it and try a can tonight.

I just opened a Mago and I have to say it's the best beer I've had from Tired Hands. I've never had any of the previous batches but I've had allot of Tired Hands and this beer is excellent!

Reminds of something out of Tree house.

Wow. Really? That would be great, more people need to demand a better product when they are charing 22$ a four pack.

When you charge that much, this should never happen. My one hang up with this brewery is the prices they charge, for everything. Quality control needs to be there. I actually hope they got their refunds. Still wish I could have went for this but if reports are true that's a huge miss by them.

Wow, what about all the pre-trades that will go down the drain along with 300 cases of it.

So glad I skipped last minute, untappd check ins are brutal for this so far. Couldn't agree more, at 22$ it better be damn near perfect. Wonder if they tasted first and still canned. You'd think they did right? Anyone try one yet?

Wow, you aren't kidding. They are getting shredded for this. Not a good look, they should do the right thing here. What a shame, this was highly anticipated and now I'm thinking on even passing trying to trade for it.

I wouldn't even feel right trading these away for something better. I would ask for a refund or let people know to drink at their own risk..

    This can't be for real.

I have always been one to call out tired hands. To be honest I don't really like them in general: prices, ridiculous releases, smug attitude from staff, charging to sit with a guy from the future in the closet. All that nonsense annoys me when it comes to Tired Hands.

All that said, this Maho Tago can release is phenominal. I agree that $22 for a 4pk is expensive but we know the deal going in. I can't imagine why people are hating on this beer. Their is certainly nothing defective that warrant a refund.

Couldn't be more serious. Facebook posts say otherwise as well. Untappd reviews are looking very underwhelming.

People are saying it is over the top bitter and are hoping that it mellows out over time. I think it's time for Jean to chime in but not holding my breath.

Yeah it's not good. Easily the worst Tired Hands can I have had and I think I've had all (or very nearly all) the beers they have canned. The only previous bad batch I had was Hophands/High Road a while ago when some of the cans were flat upon opening.

They should probably refund this but I really don't know what to expect. Jean made a mistake and we'll see if he owns up to it.

Funny that they botch the beer that many of us looked forward to ( I have had Mago Tago before and enjoyed it).

edit: It looks like mango juice but doesn't even have a strong mango taste. What the hell, Tired Hands? Why sell crap like this when you're capable of amazing mango beers like that double mango Milkshake?

Do you think they screwed up or just intentionally made a bitter beer? It definitely seems odd since they rarely make bitter IPAs and they've made this a few times before, but at the same time, how do you accidentally bitter a beer? Especially as a very experienced brewer, I'm sure Jean knows when to add hops and how it will impact the bitterness of the beer. I doubt he accidentally dumped too much into the boil.

yeah somehow this'll get spun into us over-reacting, being impatient/too negative, not getting their vision. pretty shitty track record with their customer interaction.

If this was intentional then they should never admit it. That would look even worse to me. I like bitter IPA's too and even if you want to say this is meant to be that way, it doesn't taste good.
