I've had similar 50/50 experiences on growler fills, and I know the topic has been discussed a bunch, but I will say that I've found them to be quite receptive when I've mentioned that previous fills went flat on me. Wasn't sure about the quality of the seal on one growler I had, so the bartender switched it out right away. He also seemed to take some extra time to pour my new fills. As others have mentioned in the past, I do seem to get better results when my growlers are filled during slower times and not when they are running around like crazy. Not your ideal customer service situation, especially with their prices the way they are, but it is what it is, and it helps to try to time it right.

Never have - the times I've been there, most of the English style beers are on hand pump.

Tired Hands must do something special with my growlers because between trades and drinking, I filled well over 200 growlers in nearly 2 years. Only 1 time a 1L swing top growler went flat in a trade to CA, another was a 2L of Gose is My Co-pilot. 90% of my fills have been 1L swing tops. Pay attention to the cap. Make sure the swing top cap is on properly and make sure the 2L caps are tightened.

2 days ago, I open a 1L growler of StonerWitch filled 12/24/14. It was perfectly carbed.

Anything they fill only 1L size and serve 4oz and 8oz only (look at the board, there will only be 2 prices under the name) will be $20.

I've never had a fill from TH so I can't compare but the fills I got at F&M weren't drastically expensive. I can't remember them being over $20.

Flat might be a little subjective as well. I have never had a draft offering from TH that I would classify as aggressive or substantially carbed. They have always trended towards the softer side.

I was thinking this as well. Flat to me is like 2014 HotD Adam from the Wood, no carb at all. I've only gotten 1 complaint about "flat" as in no carb in 1 trade.

This is from 2 days ago as I mentioned above, the longest I've let a growler sit (I've had Alien Church growlers sitting out to nearly 1 month without losing much carb):

I have filled many growlers at TH over the past two years and haven't had any issues with loss of carbonation.
