I would call it mind blowing for most places, but not for TJ's. Past anniversary party draft selections have been better, IMHO. Frankly, considering that this is their 10th anniversary (isn't it?), I thought the list would be even more spectacular.

IMO, blue dog wealth of riches tap list was better and this was a down year for their tap list compared to prevoius years.

:-) More like a very spoiled crowd. This will be the first anniversary party I've missed in some time, so I do have something to compare the current list to.

Still a great time, and one I would recommend no one miss if you can help it. Jeff and Teresa are good people and they put on a great party!

Don't mind the haters Hokies, they can stay home and ponder who has a better tap list while we drink some seriously great beer!

Not a hater. In fact, I'll gladly spend my money there that day. There's enough to entice me to come. All I was saying is that it's not the most epic tap list in the world. Then again, maybe you weren't going for that. :-)

Wow! That is an awesome, awesome list! If you don't think this list is awesome or mind-blowing, you're either lying to yourself, lying to the rest of us, being a ridiculously absurd beer snob, planning to get laid for the first time on Dec 7th, live too far away, don't have a designated driver, or been drinking craft beers for 120 years. :grinning:

BTW, the list above is only half. There's another 26 equally impresive kegs on deck.

My only complaint regarding TJ's is that they aren't closer to my house.

Is TJ's the old former Valley Forge Brewing location??

Pretty sure the answer is no. Jeff mentioned what the place was called before he and Teresa bought it, and I'm fairly certain that wasn't it.

Also, while TJ's isn't tiny, it's not nearly large enough to contain a brewery system.

I was there for dinner last night. Ordered the Enjoy By and of course, it just kicked. It's funny, the exact same thing happened on the July 4th event; I ordered an Enjoy By and it just kicked. I'm starting to wonder if you guys are just screwing with me now.

It is an awesome list, no one is saying it's not. What I think ShanePB (my apologies if I'm wrong about this) and I are trying to say, is that TJ's always has an insane list for their anniversary parties, and while this year's list is outstanding, it's maybe a bit less outstanding than in previous years (when they were also pouring both versions of Angel's share, older viscousity, seveal different things from Hill Farmstead, etc.). Last year in fact, Jeff even had a wooden keg of Harvieston's Engineer's reserve on the counter, and folks waiting in line to get in (like me, for example) were given a complimentary glass to enjoy while we waited in line.

See what I'm saying? After those types of experiences, it's pretty hard not to get a bit spoiled, and so one's expectations tend to be "insanely" high. That being said, I'll say it again.... this is an event that no one should miss if they can help it. Just to give you an idea how strongly I feel about that... last year I was living in Morgantown, WV, at the time, and still made the drive over to Paoli so I wouldn't miss this event. Unfortunately, this year Eugene Oregon is just a bit too far away for me, so unfortunately I will have to miss it this year. I can't tell you how unhappy that makes me feel. Have fun! Cheers!
