Yeah, definitely stoked about the gift certificate. Totally surprised with that.

 

So I haven't posted any pron yet because zekeman17 has beat me to it on each of the boxes that Pimpinmidget has sent to us, but today mine was different, so here we go...

Pimpinmidget, your generosity has been un-freakin-believable this past week, and to think there's more to come on Monday!!! I'm going to rent a storage unit, because you've sent more beer than my house can handle. Your good deeds will not go unpaid. beer karma.

 

Think I figured out why one of my bottles broke.

 

Sorry for the late update everyone! Got home from work and only had enough time to marvel at the bounty that Ol_Johnny_Skipplewicky has graced me with.
Now that it's late as hell and I'm settled in, let the beer prons being!

First, let me preface this by saying this: The box itself was absolutely fucking massive. I wheezed like an old man trying to lug it from my work's loading dock to my car. After a brief struggle I managed to fit it into my trunk.

Once I was done drooling I managed to snap a few blurry pictures.
Excuse the clutter in the background. It's late. Don't make me clean.

First the biggies:


Rye Wyne Ale - Brau Brothers (This is totally new territory for me. I'm real excited to try this, even more so after actually researching Brau Brother Brewing Company. Super cool.)
Pentagram - Surly Brewing (This is definitely my new favorite beer label ever. LOOK AT IT.)
SeVIIn - Surly Brewing (So excited that I get to try this. The label touts a "Biscuity-smooth body". Ha! Love it)
Star of the North - August Schell Brewing Co (Crazy cool. Definitely looking to pop this open on a warm evening sometime soon.)
Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA - Odell (BIG WANT! Nailed it.)
Raspberry Tart - New Glarus (This one's an absolute jaw-dropper. Saving this one for a special occasion, methinks.)
The Auroch's Horn Aged on Rhubarb - Olvalde Farm & Brewing Company (You had me at 'Rhubarb')

The wild blackberry syrup!!!
I'm not sure how or what I'm going to implement this in. But I know whatever it is, it'll be DAMN delicious.

I'm totally floored by the boxes I've received in this BIF. My senders have both gone above-and-beyond. I'm at an utter loss for words at this point, so I'm going to shut up and have a beer that has been so kindly bestowed upon me.

The gift cert was just for what you saved me in shipping, so it all equals out. Also, I realized that I never posted a pic of the "tip" you gave the delivery driver. I'll get that up next week along pics of Pimpinmidget's insane generosity next week when I get a camera back.

 

So fedex claims both boxes are awaiting their owners in Virginia Beach and Syracuse

 

Awwww yeah. Guess ill be going to my folks place tomorrow to snag that one.

 

Could not wait. Zapy holy freaking balls. There was a dent in the bricks from where your box hit my parents front porch. I just replaced that. But anywho. What a killer box. I don't know what I did to deserve that ( other then throw my back out lifting) gotta remember knees. Will post pictures after I get over the shock. All the beers in there that I have had are personal favorites like the DFH raison d extra. I can't get enough of that stuff.

 

ZAPy wins! Thanks a million from me, my liver might hate you but your bad ass in my book. I guess I might have to share some of this with Seth. Keep my liver happy.

 

BANGARANG KIDS! Just got back from an awesome weekend in the Adirondacks, and while I was sad to see it be over, I was STOKED to come home to a box from Zapy. Here's the pr0n!

Three Floyds Behemoth (red wax is 2012, yes?) - eff yes, I love this beer
Three Floyds Topless Wytch - never heard of it but it sounds GREAT!
Anchorage Love Buzz - I had it once a long time back and I've never been able to get my hands on it again. SO PUMPED!
Goose Island Big John - always tasty
Fantome Saison - Could never pull the trigger on this one, but I was always curious. YES!
Boulevard Love Child #3 - I have one in the cellar that I didn't try yet, so this is going in the fridge STAT!
Upland Teddy Bear Kisses - Love the name and the art, and it sounds delicious
Princess Peach Berlinerweiss - Looks like a homebrew, VERY excited to try. This is going in the fridge immediately also.

Patrick, you killed it with this box. I freaking loved it. Thanks for sending some awesome Indiana love my way. Now to abuse my liver and give this box a proper homecoming. Cheers!

 

OK, so box #47 (the final box) arrived today from Pimpinmidget.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my afternoons from here on out, it seems like every day for the past 2 weeks I've been waiting for the FedEx driver and then unpacking beer.
I'll wait until tonight for the full accounting, but it's a 12 bottle shipper with 9 spots full. They must have finally run out of beer in North Carolina!!
I'm also going to do some checking to see if a bottle shop down that way was robbed recently.
From what I see of the caps, this box alone easily fulfills the requirements for the BIF, and I would have been happy to have only gotten this one or any of the others, but all of them is insane.

 

I know y'all hate teaser posts, but I'm on-call 'til after 8pm tonight. The in-laws were crashing with us all weekend, so there wasn't really any free time for beer (except to drink it, of course). Hauls from texasdrugaddict & Ol_Johnny_Skippelwicky to come...

 

No worries, man. At least you had beers to ease you through.

I'm worried that one of my targets was on BA Friday, received beer earlier in the week on Tuesday, and I haven't seen any positing...

I can't thank you enough for this unbelievable windfall of beer, but if you're ever in the Philly area, I'd like the chance to try.

So it took me a bit longer than it should have to get this pron taken care of and the picture uploaded. It also required a lot of self control to not dig into this box all weekend. Emottram killed it with the box. It's increasingly rare that something this large shows up and I haven't tried a single beer in there, so I'm stoked to dig into all these awesome saisons and sours.
