Hello all. I'm about to head to Hershey Park from Bmore with family and was wondering of any bottle shops that arent too far off the beaten path that are worth stopping at. Would love to grab some stuff that's unavailable in Md.

    Thanks in advance, and cheers.

Forget the bottle shops and go to Troegs for the self guided tour with the family and misc 6 packs of what they have on offer that never leaves the brewey.

In terms of convenience, your best bet is probably the Brass Rail over in Campbelltown. It's 5 or 6 miles from the park, and roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive. They have a very nice selection there, and if you're hoping to pick up some Founders or Bells there (for example), you won't be disappointed. They also usually have 5 or 6 beers on tap there, and typically they have a very solid selection, considering the limited number of tap handles (in case you feel like having a sandwich and pint after wandering around over at the park).

I would also agree with drtth's recommendation, especially as it's located very close to the park. Most of what they have on offer there you'll be able to find in Baltimore, but they also usually have a couple of Scratch beers for sale as well, and those you generally won't find any place other than at the brewery.

    Good luck!

Hope its not to late - but Troegs is great. Went for the first time last week. Hit the the food/brew area before our Hersey Park preview (with a Hersey Park day ticket you got to go into Hersey Park the night before for 2 hours before closing). The brewery is somewhat unassuming when you drive by, you wouldn't realize the great food/atmosphere that is available inside the brew area. Their "annual beer" tasting tray was $7, it included 6 different beers at 4.5 oz each. You could add their seasonal beer to the tasting,. Awesome. The growlers were $16 empty and an additional $10-$12 to fill. Food was simple but great. Kid friendly. Inside/outside tables. Food and bar were walk up service. The brew tour was self guided.
