I am in the do not like Nitro at all camp although I like Cask Ales. Had the opportunity to try Peche Mortel on Nitro over Thanksgiving did not think it did any favors for the beer.

The only nitro beers i like are Guinness and Boddingtons. I tried the Guinness Nitro IPA and it kind of messed up nitro beers for me. But im excited to try the Sam Adams nitros.

I love nitro... to the extent that I have a dedicated nitro line on my kegerator.

I guess im just a weirdo because I often prefer cask beer to normal draft beer when presented the option. I also enjoy big beers like Bruery Black Tuesday and their varients and anniversary old ales more the day after the bottles have been opened and they have been allowed adequate time to degas/breath.

Having said that, I found Nitro does a great disservice to brews with dainty or subtle aromas as nitro does not help the aromatics, it actually dampers them.

Nitro-ing may not work with every beer but I think Wake Up Dead Nitro is better than the un-nitroed version.

Who went and poked the old CAMRA farts in the eye?

Nitro? Meh. Generally ok. Nitro IPA is a mistake. Nitro stout, sure once in a while.

One thing is for certain, cask beer sucks. Warm and flat. Anything cask is much better if it were on nitro. The sparkler saves that abomination.
    Cheers.

I love big thick booze stouts on nitro, gives them an insane creaminess however I can't stand when I see an IPA on nitro. Completely mutes the hop characters and muddles the flavors for me.

Just one opinion  Not saying it's right.

We prefer not to think about it. It's the sort of thing that causes nightmares.
The tragedy is that the beer that was iconic, a model of regional brewing at its best (my 1977 Guide describes it as "exceptionally bitter") has become virtually undrinkable.

For stouts, yes. For everything else, no. I don't understand why you would want to make a IPA super thick and creamy like that.

I love real cask and find most nitro nearly offensive.

I can tolerate a nitro stout here and there and honestly prefer any non-nitro equivalent-will accept when served but not order.

I like low abv stouts/milk stouts on nitro, would prefer a well kept cask version though.

Would be interested to try some higher abv nitro beers but haven't had the opportunity unfortunately. I'm a fan of the creamy mouthfeel.

Not the most popular opinion ever, I know. I'm cool with that, though.

Definitely a major exception. I don't think I've ever seen it in the U.S. though. Aphrodisiaque is also fantastic on Nitro.

Nitro Pale Ale's and IPA's, and most other styles really, make zero sense though. Mutes all the flavors. Plus, drinking a creamy IPA literally just feels wrong.

"To nitro or not to nitro... that is the question: Whether tis nobler in the beer to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous flavours, or to take nitrogen against a sea of bubbles, and by opposing end them: to drink, to enjoy no more; and by enjoyment, to say we end the thirst, and the thousand dry mouths that the tongue is heir to? Tis a consumption devoutly to be wished" - Hipster Shakespeare, probably

Seriously though: I love nitro beers but they're few and far between and only weak flavoured brews seem to be made nitro - I would love to try something like FBS on nitro, that IMO would be the shit.

Once in a while if it's done well. Lefthand is a very good beer, but it is kind of thin for a stout. For the most part I think you need that CO2 sharpness to carry the flavor.

I'll go with cask ale every time. But I do like Guinness poured from the nitro tap. In Germany, I did have a Guinness on tap that was from a normal CO2 system. It was a nice change of pace.

I like it on occasion, but much prefer CO2 in most cases.

Personally, Nitro is a deal breaker for me. I've tried several and don't like what it does to an otherwise good beer. I won't be buying anymore.

    Hate it.

    Old Chub = Fantastic.
    Old Chub Nitro = garbage.

Too bad only the nitro comes in 16oz cans. Of course it's also lower ABV, so they had to have changed something else, which may also contribute to my dislike of it.
