So just because the OP has some homebrew he's obligated to share it every time there's an opportunity? Quit acting like you have a say in what the guy should do. If he didn't want to share it with someone, fine.

Yeah, he asked for opinions. Then he made his decision and people called it "snobbery." Wow. I didn't realize it was so pretentious to not give away your own stuff to people you probably don't even like that much (work party).

In the first place, I don't know why this was even brought up here. OP, why couldn't you just think "I really don't feel like bringing some of my last of the beer," then proceed? Seems like a lot of questions are popping up around here lately that used to be answered very easily by the community in one's own head instead of having to ask for the permission of a bunch of people online.

"I just spilled my beer all over the place. Poll: What should I do about it?"

A: Clean it up like a normal person
B: Stare at it for a few more hours
    C: Walez Bro!
D: Create a poll topic for every step it takes to wipe up some beer and pour another one

    /vent

"Nobody needs to share anything with anyone but I find the reasoning completely ridiculous." - Seems like you kinda said just that. Who cares what you think of his reasoning if he's not obligated to share anything?

Wow. It's just being cool and a good BA to share, but not everyone has to try it. You're not being selfish by not sharing with people who won't appreciate your brew; however, if you are making more, and for the spirit of bringing more to the "light," so to speak, you should absolutely share. I feel its a do unto others situation. If you feel your brew and efforts will be taken for granted, hold off, bring like-minded people in for a tasting. If you feel they'd appreciate it for any part, share it, be the badass BA.

Just sounds like you have good friends you work with, and acquaintances you work with.
Nothing wrong with saving the last of your good beer for yourself. Your good friends will hang with you outside of "work parties" anyways, then you can share and appreciate it.

Just like you have your opinion I have mine. Is this not a forum for discussion? Yeah, he could've just said I don't have much left so I don't want to share. I don't have a problem with that. The tone of elitism in his posts are what irked me not the fact that he didnt share.

Standard operating procedure for trolls: say something stupid and obnoxious ("This is a new level of beer snobbery. You think the beer you brewed is so good it's not even worth sharing with a few BMC guzzling plebeians") that gets a lot of response, and then when people call you on it, pretend you never said it, you didn't mean what it obviously said, they don't understand what you're really saying, blah blah. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
