Flying into MSP this afternoon. I need to make a beer stop for some Midwest goodness I can't get here in Denver. I typically fill up on Surly, Bells and Founders and there isn't a particular style I'm looking for.

What are the seasonals that are available right now that I might be able to find this afternoon?

    Thanks for your help!

you should check out the bottle hunt thread... that has some of the things people are looking for. Off the top of my head things I think may be interesting: TG has lightspeed out and a fresh canning run of psuedo sue, CW BBBW is around (although moving fast). Surly's Blakkr is out, Fair State's sour pale... there are tons I am missing, but those come to mind.

Surly also has Brett Mikkel's IPA in 750ml bottles. Founder Imperial Stout is around. Might even find some Breakfast stout hanging around

I tried surfing g through the bottle hunt thread, but I'm not fluent in the local beer acronyms! I'm only able to make 1 beer haul stop and Zipps looked like the best option between the airport and Surly. :-). Then I have a 4+ hour drive north for the weekend, so this is my 1 shot.

I was just at Zipps a couple days ago and they have a lot of great local seasonals at the moment - most of which have been listed above. I just wanted to add that the staff is incredibly nice and knowledgable. If you ask for recommendations they will usually pretty much give you a tour of the available stock with honest assessments to match your taste. I have seen them doing this for visitors on multiple occasions.

Zipps will pretty much break anything into singles too, right?

I believe so, I think a lot of places will, you just may have to ask nicely. Saying you are out of state and only had time for one stop may help.

No worries... The recommendations above are a good start, you are hitting MSP at a pretty decent time. Def also grab some abrasive (especially if its canned in January).

They have a large singles shelf that is usually pretty up to date too.

The singles shelf has had a pretty major makeover as has the store. The way it was before there was a 20% markup on each single bottle or can. That markup has been removed.
