Today I'm brewing up the 8th version of my American Brown Ale: 2-row, dk. crystal, brown, and Victory malts; NB, Columbus, and Cascade hops, and US-05 yeast. ~1.050 OG.

Anybody else lighting up the burners?

I have to agree with you. However I am waiting until tomorrow. Spent the morning on a ladder looking up at a 20 ft ceiling sweeping cobwebs.

I also need a new thermometer and a propane fill. Aside from that the starter is crashing so a little grain milling and I will be ready to go tomorrow morning.

    10gal pils/Apollo smash IPA with wy1728.
    Cheers all!

Brewed 5 gallons of 1.106 OG old ale tomorrow. This cold weather sure facilitates chilling to pitching temperatures!

Yup, got an all grain nut brown ale boiling at this moment. This is only my second batch and I'm hooked. Starting to think about round three I really wanna wow my friends/coworkers an family any suggestions for a knock you socks off brew that a novice brewer could handle?
