Any idea if this worth a trip... $15 per bottle as posted on the fff website.. why all the weekday releases?

Maybe they are trying to give their local customers a chance to get all the limited release stuff.

    Isn't this hitting distribution?

Doubtful. They never distribute the non-seasonal bombers, the only exception being when they began rotating Dreadnaught and Arctic Panzer Wolf. Also, the last goop beer brewed at FFF, Ruggoop, wasn't distributed. Boogoop was put into national distribution only because Mikkeller brewed it.

Was just at the FFF brewpub earlier and enjoyed a Calumet Queen and Risgoop on draft. Picked up a little something on the way out which I'm enjoying as I type this...

Nate is dead on regarding Ruggoop, but check out the FFF tap list which I noticed at the brewpub (Risgoop is the last FFF draft listed):

Mikkeller is going to brew a version of Risgoop in Europe, so I would expect that to be distributed just like Boogoop.

As far as whether it's worth the trip, yes, I really enjoyed it. I purposely tried the bottled version right away to compare to the tap version. On tap the hops tend to be more "tangy" as opposed to bitter and blend into the body of the brew for a very smooth finish. The bottled version tends to be a bit more heavier bodied, even slightly more syrupy, and there is a more bitter hop bite on the finish that wasn't present on tap. The bottled version more closely resembles a DIPA. Both versions are delicious, but there are some distinct differences. I highly suggest trying it on tap as well as bottled.

I second the no bottle limit. I was told they have a whole bunch of it.

It will probably be around for awhile like Mutiny was. I am in no rush to make it over there

Love the pic, and you have an amazing view there (and I am not talking about the beer)!

Thanks for the review. I am really ISO this one. I just left Chicago Sunday night after Lolla. Extra bitter about missing this one. I love the "goop" series. I stayed very close to where you seem to be. I was in Hotel 71 over the weekend.

If you get more to trade, hit me up
