My guess would be early next week which is right on schedule. $16.99 is a good price IMO for this beer.

 

It was $17.99 here, but at that price, I still snatched up 2 4pks and wish I would have gotten a third. It's so good. I like it better than on tap.

 

Ray's on North Ave had 7 cases yesterday afternoon. 3 Cell and Discount are cutting loose on theirs also

 

Really? Was wondering how the recent distro of cans are tasting. What is date on bottom?

Was visiting mpls last week and had it on tap at Surly, as well as cans. The draft version was so clearly superior (for us at least) that we thought something happened with the cans. Flavors very muted. Found they were actually better on the colder side.

Was going to pass on cans when they hit Chicago because of this, esp. at that price point. Maybe will give a 4 pack a shot.

 

Woodman's Madison West had just started putting them into shelves yesterday evening. $16.99.

 

I better head over to SP Woodmans.

 

In case anyone is curious, the canning date for the Todd and Rays and Three Cellars were both 7/31/15. Had three last night at a friend's barbecue, even better than I remember it from the couple times I had it on draft. Fantastic beer.

 

Same date on all of the cans I've seen.
Also noticed Sendiks had a bunch for 16.99. I'd buy a case of this if it wasn't so expensive.
I too think it's better out of the can than what I had on tap.

 

There have been sightings of 8/4 cans in the Twin Cities. Looks like they did a huge run for this release starting on the 27th.

 

7/31 cans have pretty poor carbonation.

 

Just had a 7/20 can tonight and it tasted great. Better than the 7/23 cans I have had.

 

Mine was delicious!

 

Had it on tap in Madison yesterday.

Release party is tonight at The Emporium. I assume this means it is getting wide spread distro this week.

 

According to Surly IL twitter page, distro will start this week. I'm assuming you should be able to find it on the shelves by the end of the work week.

 

I was surprised that the grocery store, here in Spooner, got a bunch of this beer (7/31 canning) last week. I have been drinking it like it's going out of style. It is a perfect match for the hot and humid weather that came through in the last week or so.

 

My parents picked up some for me last week (they live in Wisconsin) and are coming tomorrow to visit. Looking forward to cracking a couple of these open! It's in Chicago this week as well from what I understand. I'm batting 2-for-2 so far!
