I saw some yesterday at Binny's LP as well. I would've bought some, as I liked it when I had it last summer, but I have way too much beer as it is right now. Is my memory right that this is going to start being around more frequently? I'd like that - even though $18 for 4 beers is on the pricey side, I'd still like to be able to grab some every once in awhile (whenever I get my inventory problem to a more manageable state).

 

...but you happened to be at Binny's anyway?

Oh crap...that's being caught red handed! I was actually there picking up something for somebody else...I swear it wasn't for me!

 

Abrasive was around forever, I'm not worried.

 

There are still cans from the last batch in December kicking around - be careful what you grab! It could be old.
I saw some just last weekend that were early December canning date. I mean, it is probably still ok, but at that price I would want super fresh...

 

I wondered about the freshness as well when I saw it on the shelf, but they did have a February date on them.

 

Picked up a 4 pack in Kenosha today, dated 2/23.
Best IPA I have had in a while, even at $4+ a can

 

Hopefully another shipment is dropping soon.

 

Picked up a 4 pack at Binny's Lakeview yesterday. I called and they said it was available with a 1 4 pack/person limit. It wasn't on the shelves when I made it in around 6 pm, but an employee grabbed one from the back.

 

anybody know if this made it out to the naperville binnys?

 

this years is pretty damn incredible. was able to grab a four pack, went back the next day and they were all gone.

 

Was in there last wednesday or thursday and the kid said it left as soon as it came in...last time around it stayed for a little bit so I was surprised.

 

It seems like I'm just missing this everywhere I go. Last year it wasn't a problem at all grabbing this.

 

Was able to locate a couple at a local store. He only received a case.

I stopped in Binny's South Loop earlier and they said they got 2 cases and it went right away.

 

Liquor stores got a lot less than in August. They were getting stacks of cases in August but many stores were getting just a case this time around

 

I think this has been the case at most Binny's. I also had to inquire about it, and then the employee went to the back and retrieved a 4-pack. One 4-pack per person limit.

 

I also picked up a 4-pack at the lakeview binny's this evening. You'd think at $17.99 or so a 4 pack it would stick around longer at places. I think it's worth it, it was one of my favorite beers of last year. Hoping it's more readily available like abrasive was.

 

The last release was a big bang, they brewed a ton of it and sent it all out to the distributors.

This release should be trickling out over the next 3+ months. If the beer manager I was talking to is right, we may see this from March to about November.
