Has anyone tried the Holiday Ale kit from morebeer.com? I was hoping to brew it today and was wondering if it would be ready in time for Christmas? I have read in some other threads that it takes some time to mellow out due to the spices in it, and now I'm thinking it might be too late. I just discovered it online last week and figured I'd take my chances. Any thoughts?

I'm brewing a Great Lakes Christmas Ale clone later today. I was wondering the same thing. Only one way to find out.

If you brewed in the next few days, that should give you 6 weeks for fermentation and conditioning (bottle or keg). It probably won't be at its peak, but it will be infinitly better than having none. Good luck.

If its still a little too intense in the spice, pour it over vanilla or eggnog flavored ice cream for a beer float.
