    got this today

according to our records, your purchase of the Woodwerx bottle release has not been retrieved. Please make sure your purchase is picked up no later than July 12th, 2015 to prevent surrender back to the brewery. If previous arrangements have been made, please disregard.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

    Cheers!

Guess they realized that being too loose with the pick up window just means they sit on beer.

Lots of barrels in there so less and less space for bottles.

The raspberry sour is getting bottled soon.

I saw that on the board when I was there over the weekend. Of course it got quite busy and I didn't want to interfere with the flow to ask much about it.

I also went there thinking the haole honey would not be impressive, mostly because I am not normally a fan of honey, but damn, was I proven wrong.

What I do hope for is that a good chunk of those barrels have more purple drink in them and will eventually be bottled, because I need more of that.

Purple Drink isn't barrel aged. A similar BA beer would be awesome though.

Ha, duh....I will blame that failure on lack of caffeine this morning.

More Purple Drink on the way. We're just going to have to wait on the barrel fermented/aged stuff but hopefully there will eventually be a steady flow of it.

I missed the Virgin Cherry pick-up window because my plans changed, so I just chalked it up as a loss - then on Monday I got an email saying I had until this Sunday to pick them up.....Well, I'm not gonna make it by then either, maybe if I had known I'd had the entire last month I could have made a visit..... Ah well. At this point I'll just show them my receipt when I get down there for Stone Anniversary and see if it's been extended until then.

Email them and see if you can pick it up then.

Anyone else notice they suspended BPT releases? Major bummer. On their IG they said that BPT made it difficult for small companies to do business. I'm surprised the obstacles were large enough to do away with BPT completely. On the other hand, I guess it makes sense for them, as they'll sell out of their special releases anyway. In any case, as I said, major bummer.

I think it might be due to the # of releases and then (unfortunately) being kind to those that purchased to extend pickup windows. Too much stock on hand for their small space. So with it just being sold brewery only, while challenging to get to at times, it will at least let them keep track of stock on hand so they can move extras away and not have to sit there with like 6 different clipboards and people coming in to pick up their GFL bottles 2-3 months after the fact.

I'd like to know what the downside to BPT is for them. A couple days ago they still had several cases of the Honey bottles left so at least for that beer, I think it sold slower in person than it would have BPT.

True. You make a good point about the number of releases happening making it more difficult to track. I did not think of that.

The point is good but like I said above, it doesn't fit with the facts we know about the honey bottles. If they had sold those BPT with a 2 week window I believe they'll all be gone already.

Maybe there are just a slew of small transactions that BPT takes along with the credit card fee that I am guessing is also there. Or they didn't want their fans paying the extra BPT fees, or got tired of looking at their Inbox filled with "Can I pick this up later?" emails.

I saw some kid made a huge stink in a FB group when he was told that his bottles were no longer available to be collected. It was outside of the window that he was there (despite him living in Vista). So maybe less negative publicity if only done via tasting room. Also I think since the charge to credit cards is BPT they can request a chargeback to avoid actually agreeing to the pickup window.

I honestly have no idea just throwing out potential ideas. What I do know is that when I was there last 2 weekends ago getting bottles of honey and tasting the berry I saw some GFL and Virgin Cherry bottles sitting behind the counter that I guess ppl decided not to pick up. Sadly they would not sell them to me.

Well, CC fees are there for onsite purchase as well since it appears they use square cash or whatever other cc accepting program that they use on their Ipads.

You saw the pick up windows go from "whenever, brah" to "a reasonable time, homie" to "in two weeks or you forfeit them!" to no more BPT.

I think they really did get sick of it, but I don't see the downside to BPT if you just give a solid structured pick up window and stick to it with no exceptions. I won't be bothering to do the one this week nor did I do Honey one since I don't do crap shoots to go pick up bottles anymore.

Yeah I only grabbed the Honey because bottles were still there when I wanted to try the Berry. But I am with you on the whole no lining up thing.

It doesn't seem as socially acceptable to stand in line in your jammy pants as it does to do that from your computer chair.

Yeah. I think not doing BPT will hurt them in the long run. Especially after woodwerx. A friend of mine has e-mailed them about picking up bottles when it was still "whenever, bro" and they haven't responded to him at all. I'm sure there are a few people in his situation.

They started strong, now they have pissed plenty of people off, they may want to hold off on all the expansions haha. They are going to lose this fanboy soon... Potentially after I crack one of these woodwerx bottles I've had sitting for a month, since it's supposed to be fine by now. I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, I would buy one of everything because I would make a whole pick up bottles trip down to S.D. once every few weeks. So it was nice to have the ease of just picking it up. But now with this "first come until we sell out", even if it's going to sit for a day or two, I'd rather not deal with the concern of driving down there and getting nothing on the chance it does sell out.
