I went on Friday. I like the tasting room. As for the beers:

I like the IPA, IPA Brett, and the Funky Farmhouse quite a bit. Particularly the Funky Farmhouse, I thought it was excellent.

I thought the Saison was terrible. I really question whether there was something wrong with the batch they were pouring.

Overall, I would go again for sure.

The saison has Brett in it as well, meant to be more of funky farmhouse ale with some slight tartness.

The Funky Farmhouse was out when a few of us visited on Sunday, but it was replaced with Tart Saison which was made with peaches. Really good place.

Curious to know if the general consensus of this place still holds 3 months later. Planning to visit in a week.

Definitely. I live 45 minutes away and yet I’ve been there 6 or 7 times already.

I've only gotten to try a few of their beers but both were great IMO. I'm planning on a visit soon.

They are getting ready to release their first bottle next month. A sour farmhouse ale aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels with nectarines and peaches.. Stoked for this.

Just tried their Apricot Sour at Toronado and Saturday and thought it was excellent.

This might be the wine geek in me speaking, but any idea on what kind of Sauv Blanc the barrels previously held?

Sauv Blanc tends to not be a barrel aged varietal so I'm curious.

I had it at Toronado Saturday, then walked across the street to Rip Current and got a pint for the same price. Delicious stuff.

Stainless steel? Or maybe concrete. actually if you dont have those you can use neutral oak. Would guess its from temecula.

Toolbox has become my favorite new brewery in the area. I love their creativity and how well each beer is made. The staff are awesome and extremely helpful when I ask really annoying questions about what they're making

I think the best thing about Toolbox is that you can try different sour and Brett beers but their Pale, hoppy beers are excellent too.

Would love to hear how the visit went....

I've only been once, but I enjoyed the beers I had. It's evident that these guys are passionate about their beer judging by their enthusiasm.

I recommend hitting that english restaurant a couple doors down if you ever get hungry while at Toolbox. Place is quite tasty and almost pairs well with some of Toolbox's beers.

Their tap list is great right now. Tart X with apricots is really good.

I know there are more fruited batches of Tart X on the way along with another IPA.

They just announced that they are going full Brett. Nothing but funky, tart deliciousness from now on. Love it.
