They had 9 beers on tap on Saturday and I've never seen more than 12 on the board (at least not since they went all wild).

It's very possible I haven't been there since the announcement. I think the last time I was there Tart-X was one of the new beers?

I saw that they still had the milk stout on the board which was one of their first beers, right?

Yes, Mini Mudder is their final clean beer and has been lingering for quite a while now.

Personally, I don't care if the head brewer left or got fired. I've worked long enough to know that people get fired or quit every day for a variety of reasons, good and bad. It's just life.

I'm hoping they get everything back on course and continue with making and improving on the products they've been brewing. That's all I care about. I want to use my growler!

Are they his beers or whoever does the blending though? Are Armand's beers his or Lindemans/Boon/Girardin's?

While it bums me out, at least they learned from Woodwerx, all they had to do there was wait a few weeks. There's just a couple things I don't get here...

Why announce upcoming beer releases without testing them first?
Why announce a new head brewer without actually naming him?

He was named in the westcoaster article that came out on the 2nd? I believe.

No idea, and the delay could be something unrelated to testing the beer, just taking a guess at it.

I don't know why Toolbox hasn't named him on their social media, but he was named in a West Coaster article over the weekend. Neither Nimbus nor Schlafly have sour programs, so either the "more professional experience" angle means they're going to go back to brewing clean beers or it's not the real reason for the change.

There are a lot of things that don't entirely make sense, and likely won't unless Toolbox chooses to explain them.

Just wait and see, I suppose. I'm hoping for the best. But if they aren't doing sours, what are they good for? I didn't go there for their clean beers.

    So lets see:
Cancelling their new bottle releases for XYZ reasons - check
Selling off their remaining bottles from cellar and failed pickups - check
Cancelling their 1st year anniversary party - check

Not sure what is going on but all those things can't possibly be taking a positive step forward.

Hoping for the best. Also, if they are indeed selling off remaining bottles to the public, I surely need to pay them a visit ASAP.

I need to put away my jump-to-conclusions mat since they posted on FB the reasons for cancelling their anniversary fest. I applaud them for that.

Out of respect for both Toolbox and Churchill's sour fans, we will be postponing our Anniversary Celebration on Sept 12th as it is also the day of Churchill's Sour Fest. We are currently working on a new date and will post that information as soon as possible.

    Cheers!

As for the bottle sales, you saw nothing.. *waves jedi hands*

ha ha. yeah. keep believing that two breweries so close together couldn't hold a celebration on the same day. I mean, it's not like symbiotic relationships, or even the fact that if someone is at one, it's an easy excuse to go to the other afterwards.

All their actions now really just scream doom and gloom.

All of the events recently do seem to scream of a downward spiral. They certainly don't seem like the actions of a business scrambling to stay on their feet.

It's a fest, where they pour Sours, at Churchills.
