Autunm Bliss and Poinsetta with 450 counts are still available after BPT release yesterday. Thoughts?

Poinsettia I can see why, it's got some flavors not typically used in a sour and sounds really experimental. But Autumn Bliss is a legitimately good beer. I got one bottle of each and that will satisfy me.

Tried Autumn Bliss today. Pucker up. One of their best releases. I would grab a bottle if you were on the fence.

Can you grab bottles anymore? I saw the link was closed off already.

The poinsettia has scented wax. I really want to hear how this tastes. None on tap today, only in the 500 bottles.

Out of curiosity...Those clingstone and apropos, and I guess the purple drink too. Anyone know if those were made by the new brewer or Peter? I'm assuming poinsettia was made by the new guy.

Clingstone, Apropos, and Purple Drink would all be produced by the new brewer, they're all steel fermented and if I recall correctly, the turnaround time on them is ~2 months. Peter's tenure at Toolbox ended in late July, so anything non-BA from now on will be 100% from the new brewer. There are probably still some barrels of wort that Peter produced that will make their way into future releases, but trying to guess who produced the wort for a given future release and what that might mean isn't of much value. Toolbox is generally good about putting beers on tap before they go on sale, and the hype around their BPT sales has dropped considerably, so you'll likely have the opportunity to try before you buy and/or get feedback from locals trying it.

Visited Toolbox for the first time yesterday and that Autumn Bliss was amazing. Would have picked up a couple bottles but my wallet has felt the sting of Speeway and Veritas :/
A shame since it was really good...hopefully they stick around for a bit.

    Thanks man.

I'm happy with the lack of hype, I don't think that will last very long...One hyped beer and it's over again. Glad i got a couple autumn bliss, should hold pretty well too.

Also happy I can crack open a purple drink bottle and only be committed to drinking 500ml versus a whole growler. haha

    Anyone tried that poinsettia yet?

Only 4 check ins on Untappd so it seems not many, ha. My wife wanted a bottle (she's huge on cranberry) so I grabbed one. We'll see how it is.

Stopped by yesterday. They had a new Sour Pale Ale on that they just put on when I walked in. Nice light hop profile with some sour to balance it. No pours of Poinsettia unfortunately when I went but I had already got a bottle off BPT so I will just have to go in that one with no expectations. Also, I had overhead that they may be producing a barrel aged version of Purple Drink as well as that they were ordering 400lbs of blackberries today for some other beer.

Got back from Toolbox. They aren't pouring Mackinaw (just like Poinsettia) so I got a bottle for home. In other news, that new Bog Sauce berliner weisse with cranberries and raspberries is really good, might just be their best berliner yet so far. Tried the Free Range Lettuce sour pale ale dry hopped with Amarillo, Galaxy, and Hallertau Blanc and I found it to be a lot better than Grass Fed Lettuce.
