    Other than the over-the-top bashing of Vermont and hazy IPA's in 2 of the 10 selections everything else seemed largely positive even when the modern IPA's are put as a positive for Pinthouse Pizza (although the article does start out by saying the legal atmosphere in Texas is difficult for breweries, that may be considered negative as well).

    Never even thought Real Ale would be considered part of the Austin brewing scene.

    I'd probably would had choosen 512, Adelberts, Infamous and Strangeland over some of those listed but that's my opinion. As for who currently is producing the best beers in Texas I would probably lean DFW, Houston, and Austin. Hard for me to say this cause im in the Austin area but I feel that we got some boring beers lacking boldness and flavors on this side of Texas. Again my opinion, honestly I enjoy and support most of our local breweries in Texas.
