First time I ever heard of aging beer it was a thread about SN Celebration. So I did it. Still have Celebration from 2010, 11, and 12 in my cellar. Did the taste comparison like 3 weeks ago. I love fresh Celebration. My favorite holiday beer. 2010 was past it's time but 2011 was A+ and '12 wasn't bad at all.

I keep a rotating 4 year vertical of Celebration. It goes from super hoppy, to really balanced in 2 years, to a malt bomb between 3-4. After 4 it goes downhill really quick. It's worth cellaring a 6 pack every year to have the vertical at Christmas. I love it fresh and cellared.

Guess I need to grab a 12 pack of Celebration, 6 for the cellar, and 6 for now.

I might be a month late here, but Smuttynose does sell vintage Barleywine at the brewery. Pre-aged, just for you. Normally 2008 or 2009 vintages I believe.
