Session IPAs are the worst in my opinion
Never was a big fan of low ABV porters
Don't hurt me but I also haven't found a tripel that I would purchase again... just not for me

Czech pilsners (fresh in the Czech Republic) are the perfect beer in my mind
Flemish sour ales of any kind are beautiful
The classic IPA is what started it all for me so it's definitely in the top 3

I like how polarizing a lot of styles are. I personally love rauchbiers and scotch ales, and I see many people have those in their bottom three. I find that very interesting.

    TOP
    Porter
    Stout
    Pumpkin

    BOTTOM
    AAL
    Pilsner
    IPA

If we get really granular, the top three would be something like Milk Stouts, Imperial Stouts, and Robust Porters.

Meanwhile, I don't hate Pilsners as much as I just find them boring, and I have had a couple IPAs I like. If I was to get in to it, it would be specific hops that I don't like being on the forefront.

I thought I'd try and guess what mine are and then do some calculations to see how close my ratings reflected that. For efficiency purposes, I lumped styles together (IPAs, DIPAs, IIPAs, SIPAs, IPL's = "India Pale Ales / Lagers", etc.).

I'd say my top 5 favorites are barleywines and wheatwines, lambics and wild ales, Flemish sours, stouts of all kinds, and India pale ales and lagers. My least favorites are adjuncts, Euro pale/dark/strong ales and lagers, shandies and radlers, pumpkin beers, and probably porters.

I sorted all my ratings and did a similar approach to the BA rDev for the rating system (so that "braggot" wouldn't be my top style after trying a single one and loving it). What I got:

I'd like to think that barleywines are not at the top due to a few bad apples (barleywines are usually either amazing or really really bad in my eyes, never in between). Lambics and Flemish sours - come to think of it, I don't think I've ever had a bad one. I am surprised stouts made it that high due to the amount of real shitty stouts I've had. Anyway, I just did all of this because I'm supposed to be studying for an exam in a couple hours and I'm really good at procrastinating. Cheers!

    Top:
    Gueuzes/Lambics/balanced sours/tart saisons (okay, I guess that's cheating)

    Bottom:
    Quads (too chewy/dense/sweet)
    Flanders Oud Bruins (balsamic vinegar)
Winter Warmers (the spiced ones in particular. Gritty)

    non-German lagers/weizen

Top: Anything that isn't simultaneously high-acid, fruited, and sour.
    Bottom: Acidic, fruited, sour beers.

My palate hasn't exactly opened up to that flavor territory quite yet. I'd like to keep the acid reflux to minimum.
