    Cask conditioned ale & stout of any strength
    Hefeweizen
    Barley wine

    Bottom 3:
    All Belgian styles
    English Blonde ale
    American pale ale that isn't a DIPA

    Top 3:
    Stouts (that are more chocolate/coffees/sweet forward and not too ashy/roasty/dry)
    Fresh, juicy sweet Pale Ales/IPAs/DIPAs that have minimal to no bitterness in the finish
    Any of the sour styles....more funk and horseblanket in the nose and taste the better

    Bottom 3:
    Rauchbier (smoke just isn't my thing)
    American Barleywines (the medicinally bitter finish of many of these just don't work for me)
    Really bitter finishing or old/stale American Pale Ales/IPAs / Double IPAs

    Oops I'm so smart and beer savvy I can't pick 3, I had to do 4.

    No one give a flying fu** what your favorite styles are. It doesn't make you more or less educated on beer, and doesn't make you special because you had to add more than 3. These threads are so lame.

    Good: Stouts...DIPA's...Barleywine...

    Bad: AAL...Malt Liquor...Light Lager...

    Everything else has its merits...

    The top is sort of a moving target, but my bottom has been pretty consistent for years now.

    Top:

    1) IPA/DIPA
    2) Stouts
    3) Berliner weisse/Gose

    Bottom:

    1) Scotch ales
    2) Amber ales
    3) Belgians*

    *yes, I know this encompasses a number of styles and yes, this does make me feel like a bad person
