I'd rather drink the cans over their bottles.

I had the Tusker for our recent AAL tasting, and thought it was a nice beer- definitely has some genuine 'Pilsner' qualities.

Other than that, Naragensett really impressed me as well. I could see that as a reliable go-to.

My personal fave was one that nobody out of the NYC area will be able to get, however- Bushwick Pilsner.

Michael, how widely distributed is this beer in NYC? Can you go to any old beer retailer and pick it up?

    Cheers!

    Edit. I went here: http://www.bravenbrewing.com/find/index.php

It looks like it is available at 20 locations on Manhattan.

I can get it at one of my usual stops on the way home from work. The downside is that I take the bus, so I can only carry so much at a time. Feel free to message me if you want a few bottles.

I, along with many read the AAL blind tasting article and decided to try Hamm's out of curiosity and I could very well be influenced by the article but I actually thought it was pretty good. Probably the only AAL that I would consider having as a regular fixture around the house and at 12.99 per case why the hell not?

Beyond that I'd probably just go with PBR, but tea I don't drink many of these

Miller Lite - It's basically water. Fifteen pack in five hours without a problem.

Miller High Life - Best tasting cheap AAL. Only problem is the excess carbonation can really rumble my stomach after twelve or more

Pabst - No explanation needed. A classic.

I wouldn't say so. For example, I would pick Miller High Life over Miller Lite if I was only having a beer or two, but I would drink Miller Lite if I was having more.

PBR has become my go-to cheap beer -- hard to beat something that's $8.99 for twelve cans and actually tastes good (and actually tastes like beer!) Bonus points for being one that my girlfriend likes too, so when we just want some "sit around eating dinner and watching TV and getting a little wobbly" beer it's an easy choice to make.

I'd like to have Narragansett more often -- I feel like it's basically a beer along the lines of PBR but improved in almost every way -- but unfortunately it's not available in the area where I live (I only managed to stumble across it during a trip to the DC area earlier this summer.) I go back to Yuengling fairly often too, though I have found that on draft it comes across as almost too sweet for me -- not sure why that is, never had that problem with the canned or bottled versions. Speaking of beers on draft, Peroni (technically an adjunct lager I suppose, they do list corn on the ingredients list!) is really good on tap compared to in the bottle.

Not an adjunct lager as far as I'm aware -- though I do remember it being a really nice beer going by the one time I had some from their variety pack. I'll have to go back and get a full six-pack of this one sometime now that I've been reminded of it...
