    • Strohs (when I can get it)
    • Budweiser
    • Los Locos Mexican-Style Lager
...and honorable mention to American Grain Belt (which I was first exposed to earlier this year in Omaha)...

You know, I had a couple bottles of Bud Light a week or two ago. I hadn't had it in a year or more. It may have been a perfect storm of variables, but I really enjoyed the two I had. It had a clean, lemony crispness to it that was really refreshing. In the past, Bud Light was among my least favorite AALs. I put it down to a change in my palate over time due to the amount of craft beers I've consumed in the last few years, and it was simply a departure from my norm.

OR, it was really hot and I was really thirsty.

Probably both. Context and mood definitely have their role to play, but the beer's gotta do its job as well.

You should write a book. Call it "Zen and the Art of Valiant Maintenance" (apologies to the late Robert M. Pirsig).

That slant six had 480K miles on it when I drove it into one last ditch. I put gas in, changed the oil, got tires, had the brakes done now and then...and one fuel pump. That's about it. The life experience history of that car ought to be a good story... I think maybe it was invisible! Thanks.
