I do not know, because I do not know what I am in the mood for when I want an IPA because it is such a wide open palate space for me in what I am seeking out with it when I am in an IPA mood, and there always seems to be an IPA that I haven't drank. Either yet because it is new to me. OR, that I haven't had in a while. Which also means, I actively despise threads like these because they are pointless. Because it does not matter. That beer I haven't had yet. I have not had yet.
And that beer might be really good.

Pliny would be in my top 5, Dirtwolf is in my top 20, but my top 3 so far:

    Ephraim
    Heady
    Dreadnaught

This may change tonight when I pop open a fresh Dinner thanks to my man Stum-pub

Hop Ranch was very tropical tasting when it was young. It wasn't a beer that aged well and it seemed like a month after bottling it got very grassy/onion like. I liked it a lot more on tap than bottle, where as it's the opposite for me with Dirtwolf. I like Dirtwolf a lot less on tap.

Take note that I haven't had the pleasure to try Pliny, Heady and the other Vermont beers, or some other highly rated IPA/IIPAs. However, my current favorites are, but not limited to:

    IPA:
    -Head Hunter
    -Flower Power
    -Two Hearted

    IIPA:
    -HopSlam
    -Hop Stoopid
    -ChillWave

Notice most of these are year round offerings. Go figure...

First time I traded, I traded New Glarus fruit beers for brews from Cigar City brewery. You should have no problem trading brews from Cigar City; considering you have access to them in FL of course.

Definitely subjective. I do believe there to be a top 2 (I'm talking double ipa's), and then a #3 that rotates depending on your given taste at the time. After all, we all know how many outstanding IPAs and DIPA's exist these days. For me, it's the universally accepted Heady Topper and Pliny the Elder for the top 2. Still. And number 3, is a fresh Sierra Nevada's Hoptimum. Goood.

    Heady
    Pliny E
    Hoptimum

This is what I think. NoDa's Hop Drop'n Roll is utterly delicious, but I'll vie for it only casually.
