As others have already stated, Dirtwolf is not of the same level of prestige as Pliny and Heady. It's only #212 in the top 250 and not even in the top 50 American Double/Imperial IPAs. DirtWolf has a long way to go before achieving a status you're implying. Just sayin'. Oh and, as one other person already said, I liked Hop Ranch way better.

I'm really struggling to get it down to 3, honestly we live in a great age. Here's my best attempt:

    1) Heady Topper
    2) Enjoy By
    2) Sucks
    2) Kane Overhead
    2) Maine Beer Another One
    3) Sixpoint Hi Res

    APAs:
    3 Floyds - Zombie Dust
    Two Brothers - Sidekick

Dark Horse - Crooked Tree IPA

    DIPA:
    3 Floyds - Apocalypse Cow
    3 Floyds - Permanent Funeral
3 Floyds - Artic Panzer Wolf

Great Lakes dominated list, but each is pretty pretty great beer so I don't feel too bad about being a "homer".

Never heard of them?!?! Furious is on the shelves year round and is amazing. Abrasive is one of the best out there. Furious trades for other good shelf beer in a heart beat.

One of my favs that is never mentioned b/c of small distro is Marshall Wharf Can't Dog IIPA. I had it very soon after my first Heady and thought it was just as good. It's from Maine. As for regular IPAs...Surly Furious, Odell's IPA, Hop Ranch I could drink everyday, forever I think.
