I'm picking up what you're puttin' down. However in effort to humor the masses, I'd say anything 10.5% ABV and above?

Most have already been mentioned, but I'll throw Avery Maharajah into the mix.

Do we have an unofficial definition of "TIPA" around here? 100+ IBU and/or 10%+ ABV?

Not the biggest fan of the "style," but:
    Sixpoint Hi-Res
    Green Flash Green Bullet
    Three Heads Tre Kind

I loved Citrus Ninja Exchange. But at 9.5% ABV, lofty as it may be, I still don't know how I feel about a TIPA. It wasn't nearly as dry as the others that I've had

Green Bullet and RuinTen are the only ones I've had that were worth a damn. I still need to have Hi Res though.

This is what I was thinking-besides beer bottles that say "triple IPA" what are our inclusion factors for the style? There are a lot of beers listed that in my mind are DIPAs- but others like devil dancer and 120 are obvious.

TRIPA by Kuhnhenn is delicious, absolutely delicious fresh, never bought the bottles so I don't know how it'll cellar. Double Crooked Tree is dubbed a "truly legit" Double IPA by the brewery, but at upwards of 14% abv, this is definitely also what we would consider a triple IPA, also delicious. Founder's Devil Dancer is a pretty incredible sipper once it has about 6 months age, will try it fresh eventually.

Also, does anyone know what some TIPA's are deemed non ageable, while others the breweries encourage aging on? In specific, Simtra from Knee Deep the brewer explicity begs people not to age it. Is there a set of guidelines? (I know in the beer world there are generally none, but thought I'd ask anyway =D)

Given @Patches826 definition in no particular order-ok in alphabetical order...

    Permanent Funeral
    PtY
    Stone RuinTen

120 Min is the only real triple IPA I've had.

Replace Green Bullet with Hoparillo, and you'd be correct. Green Bullet was disgusting.

    Simtra
    Exponential Hoppiness
    PtY

These three beers (fresh) changed how I thought about beer.
With a month of age they turn into malty IIPA's (you lose a ton of delicate hop flavor and aroma).
Within 3-4 months they basically become really great blonde barleywines.

Great point. But Otis's post made me think of Alaskan "troppelbock". Pure silliness.

Seeing as how I think I have only had 3 Triple IPAs, I would say... Devil Dancer, 120 Minute and Tri-PA by Full Pint. in that order.

Well the label on BA is "Imperial/Double IPA". Why any different than "Imperial/Double Stout"? Plenty of Imperial Stouts are above 10.5% abv.

I think it's a subjective thing- if you've had fresh Simtra or Expo, you just know that there is something that makes them different than IIPA's- an abundance of hop oils, maybe? It's tough to catch in bottles unless they are within a week or two of bottling. PtY has some of it, as well, although I would hesitate to label it a triple IPA.

It's not really that important- the fact that all beers within a certain color/IBU/ABV spectrum are labeled IPA's or IIPA's is kind of silly. But for me, if you're going to call it a triple IPA, it has to punch you in the nose and mouth with hop oils and (ideally) dial the malt body back quite a bit.

Looking at this through a west coast lens (since I have not had any Lawson's brews)....

PtY and Alpine Expo are in a class above all others - Knee Deep, Moylans, Rip Current, Green Flash, etc offerings are on the next tier.

I have had Devil Dancer and found it rather terrible (it was fresh), much more of a barleywine imo.
