Top CA Beers List

Wow, sitting at 47/50 with the 2 from SARA and Remy's Pappy left.

Almost feels like cheating living in San Diego.

And here I packed up one of those Speedways for a trade I am doing.

 

YEAH IT DID! I went from 61/250 on the Top 250 and 87/250 on the HOF list to 52/250 and 75/250 respectively. I wish they kept track of which beers fell off and why (i.e., change in ratings requirements, dropped off due to scores, etc.). Kinda sucks.

Side note, I'm at 24/50 on the CA list.

 

from the updated list ... 34/50 for CA and 84/250 on Top 250 ... definitely have some CA research to do, mainly Lost Abbey, SARA and Apline

 

I'm at 40 from CA, but a few bottles are waiting in the cellar. 19 from top20 (thanks Cable Car for being so easily available) The one I somehow never heard of is:
Old Stock Cellar Reserve (Aged In Brandy Barrels)

 

I'm at 50/50, but I don't think it's that crazy since I'm an active beer nerd in-state. Nothing on that list is too terribly crazy to get - Cable Car is probably the most difficult but is far from impossible.

 

Yea, some of those Lengthwise reviews were fake accounts. With the updates I am at 48, but I should be at 49 since I already reviewed Remy's Pappy under a different listing. Sigh, you people need to search and watch about adding new beers if there is already a listing...

 

Dude, have you seen UNTAPPD? I actually like how users self-police and submit duplicates for cleanup purposes.

 

Trust me, I have submitted the request to merge now that I see it. I want my 49 dammit.

 

Lengthwise should be no where near a top beer list. It would be nice if BA had a way to report fake reviews. If someone opened up a decent brewery in Bako they would do well. At least we have KRBC in our backyard.

Not sure about all the hate on Lengthwise here. I stopped by on my way to Norcal. Have had Zeus, Citra Simcoe, Double Cent and Ale Ya. Thought they were all above average to great. Didn't read any of the reviews tho - fake reviews is shaady

 

With the update I'm now at 47/100. The questions/"hate" aren't necessarily for the Lengthwise beer itself, but for the artificial accounts that artificially raised the ratings. I understand wanting to get ratings on a site such as this, but that's just not the way to do it. Let your beer speak for itself instead of soliciting your customers or whomever to bump up your rating.

54/100 on this end. Bottom of the list feels like it would change a lot week-to-week.

 

Shockingly, I'm in the mid-70s. Simply being in San Diego, combined with a few of the Tion events has really made it easy to tick these off.

 

and why is that?

edit: forgot, you're the one who thinks any hard to get beer (citra?) is just a ploy by a brewery to manufacture hype. So of course logic would have it that because SARA beers are harder and harder to obtain, they're really not that great.
